## Description

## What you’ll notice day to day

For a focused listening session with room for both songcraft and experimentation, *Nine Times* brings together new material from Blaine L. Reininger in an Audio CD format. The album moves between classic Reininger songs and more experimental pieces, making it a fit for listeners who enjoy a record that shifts its musical approach across the track list rather than staying in one lane.

At 57 minutes, it offers a full album-length listen. Reininger’s work as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, particularly on violin, informs the musical identity behind this release.

## Quick overview

*Nine Times* is a new album by Blaine L. Reininger, a founding member of Tuxedomoon. Its blend of songwriting and experimental material gives the track sequence variety while keeping the focus on one artist’s work. For a listener choosing between a single-artist album and a compilation of unrelated tracks, this release offers a continuous program shaped by Reininger’s own creative range.

The track list includes “Alles Wissen,” “Home On The Strange,” “La Ville Avec Un Fleuve Enterré,” “Mirror Man,” “Some Sequencers Are Bigger Than Others,” “Nine Times,” “Pain Perdu,” “Tat Team Asi,” “Temper Tantra,” “Messidor Lojban,” and “Witchcraft Of Failure.” The varied titles reflect a collection with its own distinct character, while the album’s stated mix of classic songs and experimental pieces gives listeners a clear sense of its musical scope.

As an Audio CD, it suits people building a physical music collection or selecting a complete album for a dedicated listening session. The 57-minute running time also gives the record a defined beginning-to-end format, whether played in one sitting or returned to track by track.

## Tips for day-to-day use

The album’s range makes it easy to approach in different ways: listen from the opening track to hear the full sequence, or return to individual songs such as “Mirror Man” and “Nine Times.” Listeners drawn to Reininger’s work with Tuxedomoon can use this release to explore his solo songwriting alongside pieces that take a more experimental direction. It also works as a straightforward addition to a CD library centered on post-punk, new wave, and alternative pop artists, genres associated with Reininger’s career.
