BedStory 14-Inch Extra-Firm King Hybrid Mattress with Pocket Coils and Euro Top

The king-size mattress measures 80" L x 76" W x 14" thick, giving it a substantial profile and a full-size sleeping surface. Its hybrid construction combines foam with individually pocketed coils.

The extra-firm feel is the central buying consideration. This design is aimed at shoppers who want a more solid sleep surface rather than a plush, yielding feel.

For a couple, the pocket coils are intended to limit the spread of movement, while the zoned support design targets the shoulders, waist, and hips. That offers a different approach from an all-foam mattress, with springs as part of the support system.

Tech summary

• Size: King (U.S. Standard)
• Dimensions: 80" L x 76" W x 14" thick
• Firmness: Extra firm
• Top style: Euro top
• Fill: High-density foam, memory foam, and pocket springs
• Coil type: Individually pocketed coils, 2.3 mm coils

• Design: Fiberglass-free, with reinforced edge support

The segmented coil layout is described as providing different levels of support for the shoulders, waist, and hips. A reinforced perimeter is intended to provide support near the edges, and the manufacturer describes the coil structure and gel-infused memory foam as promoting airflow and cooling. These are design features, not a guarantee that every sleeper will experience the same temperature or feel.

Buyer comments are generally positive about comfort and firmness, with some describing support for their backs and shoulders. However, one comment refers to a medium-firm feel, which does not align neatly with this product’s extra-firm listing. Treat the actual feel as a personal preference rather than relying on those descriptions alone.

Practical tips

Before choosing it, compare the listed extra-firm feel with the surface you currently prefer. If you like a solid, supportive mattress, the firmness and pocket-coil construction may suit that preference. If you usually choose a plush surface, this may feel too firm. The 14-inch profile is also worth factoring into your bed setup, especially if you have a preferred overall mattress height.

For a practical use case, a couple sharing a king bed may value the individually wrapped coils, which are designed to reduce motion transfer. Someone who often sleeps near the edge may also appreciate the reinforced perimeter. Neither feature means movement or edge compression is eliminated.

It’s a great fit if you want an extra-firm king hybrid with zoned coil support and a fiberglass-free design. It’s not for you if you’re specifically looking for a soft or plush feel.

Best use cases

This mattress is most relevant for shoppers seeking a firm king-size sleep surface with both foam and pocket springs, rather than an all-foam design. Its support features may appeal to back sleepers and people looking for more lumbar support, as described by the manufacturer. The stated 600-pound capacity and reinforced edges also give buyers concrete details to weigh when comparing options for shared use.

Questions before you buy

Is this mattress firm or medium firm? It is listed as extra firm. Some buyer feedback describes a medium-firm feel, so individual impressions differ, the listing does not establish how it will feel to you.

Does it include fiberglass? The product is described as fiberglass-free, and the stated certifications are CertiPUR-US and OEKO-TEX.

Is it designed to reduce motion transfer? Yes. Its individually pocketed coils are intended to limit movement passing across the mattress, which may matter to couples.

When it makes sense

Choose the BedStory if you want a 14-inch king hybrid with an extra-firm feel, pocket coils, and a reinforced edge. Its cooling and motion-isolation features may also factor into your decision, but they are design aims rather than guaranteed outcomes. If your priority is a softer, more cushioned surface, a less-firm mattress is the more suitable direction to explore.
