Bates Choice DMZU012B409 Paint Tray Set, 9-Inch Tray, 12 Pieces

A textured, rectangular tray gives paint a defined place to load a roller, while disposable liners help keep paint off the tray itself. The Bates Choice set combines that tray with a roller frame, making it a ready-to-use setup for interior or exterior painting, touch-ups, and DIY projects.

Its 12 pieces are one 9-inch tray, 10 disposable liners, and one roller frame. That mix suits projects where simpler cleanup matters more than keeping every part for repeated use.

Technical overview

• Brand: Bates Choice
• Model: DMZU012B409
• Type: Disposable plastic paint tray set
• Tray size: 9 inches
• Color: Gray
• Shape and finish: Rectangular tray with a textured surface
• What’s included: One tray, 10 disposable liners, and one roller frame

The liners sit inside the tray to reduce direct paint contact with its surface. That can be useful when switching between paint colors or when you would rather discard a liner than clean paint from the tray. The set is described for interior and exterior painting, touch-ups, and DIY projects, it does not specify a particular paint type or roller compatibility beyond the included frame and 9-inch tray.

Everyday use

For a room refresh, the tray can hold paint while you load the roller, and a liner gives you a disposable surface to work from. After painting, the product care instructions say to dispose of the tray and liners according to local recycling guidelines. The package provides multiple liners, so it can also suit a project that involves more than one painting session or color, though the exact quantity needed depends on the job.

Buyers generally describe the set as easy to use, functional, and easy to clean, and some say the trays fit well. Feedback on the material is mixed, however, so those comments should not be taken as proof that every piece will feel equally sturdy. Compared with a reusable tray setup, this set puts more emphasis on using liners and disposing of the tray and liners after use, a reusable approach may make more sense if keeping a tray for repeated projects is the priority.

What you get

The 12-piece count consists of one gray plastic tray, 10 disposable liners, and one roller frame. The textured, rectangular tray is the central paint-loading surface, while the liners are intended to fit inside it. Since the set includes a frame as well as the tray and liners, it provides the basic components for a roller-based painting task in one package. The product details do not specify the frame’s material or a separate roller cover, so don’t assume either is included.

Before you decide

Are the liners reusable? They are described as disposable. The care instructions call for disposing of both the tray and liners after use in accordance with local recycling guidelines.

How many pieces are included? The listed contents are one tray, 10 liners, and one roller frame, for 12 pieces total.

Is the material feedback consistent? No. Buyer comments include positive reactions to the set, but opinions on the plastic are mixed, so expectations about sturdiness should remain measured.

Should you buy it?

It makes sense if you want a tray-and-frame set with multiple disposable liners for household painting, touch-ups, or DIY work. The liners offer a practical alternative to relying on a tray you plan to wash and reuse, and buyers often report straightforward use. It might not be a great match if your main goal is a reusable tray setup, since the product is specified as disposable and its care instructions recommend disposal after use. Choose it for the included components and liner-based cleanup approach, rather than assuming it will replace a long-term reusable painting kit.
