## Description

## Everyday use

The balanced 3-pin XLR design helps keep a microphone signal quieter by reducing hum, buzz, and radio interference. At 9 feet, the BASN cable provides room to position a mic at a podcast desk, in a home recording setup, or on a stage without relying on an unnecessarily long run. Its male-to-female connectors make it a direct link between an XLR microphone and compatible audio gear.

Use it to connect dynamic or condenser microphones to mixers, audio interfaces, preamps, powered speakers, or PA systems with standard XLR connections. The oxygen-free copper core supports clean signal transmission, while shielding helps reduce unwanted interference along the cable. For a setup built around XLR equipment, this balanced cable offers a straightforward alternative to adapting between different connector formats.

## Why it makes sense

The KN11 combines the practical details that matter when choosing a mic lead: the connector arrangement, cable reach, and balanced XLR format. Confirming those details against your equipment helps you select a cable that connects directly to the intended microphone and audio input. The 9-foot length works well when a mic needs some positioning flexibility around a recording desk or performance space, while helping avoid extra cable slack in a compact setup.

The construction is suited to regular setup changes. Nickel-plated connectors provide the connection points, and the PVC jacket and integrated strain relief support the cable at areas that are handled during connection and removal. A tangle-free feature can also make it easier to manage the lead between uses. Rather than choosing a cable by length alone, matching its male-to-female, 3-pin XLR ends to the equipment is just as important for a direct connection.

## Before you decide

**What does the cable connect?** It has a male XLR connector on one end and a female XLR connector on the other, for connecting compatible XLR audio equipment.

**Is it suitable for a microphone and mixer setup?** Yes. It is designed for microphones and lists mixers, interfaces, preamps, powered speakers, and PA systems among its compatible audio equipment. The connected equipment needs the corresponding XLR connection.

**How much reach does it provide?** The cable is 9 feet long, making it suitable for placing a microphone away from a mixer or recording device within that cable run.

## Buying verdict

For podcasting, home recording, studio monitoring, and PA setups that use 3-pin XLR connections, the BASN KN11 brings balanced signal transmission, practical 9-foot reach, and a durable cable construction together in one mic lead. Its male-to-female ends make it a useful choice when you want a direct XLR connection between a microphone and compatible audio equipment.
