Avery 98071 Glue Stic, Disappearing Purple, Washable, 1.27 oz, 6 Sticks

For school assignments, card making, and paper crafts, Avery 98071 Glue Stic makes it easy to see where adhesive has been applied. It goes on purple and fades as it dries, helping you place glue across a page or project with more visible coverage while you work. Each stick contains 1.27 oz, and the pack includes six.

The washable, acid-free formula is also photo-safe and non-toxic, making it suitable for a range of everyday creative projects.

Highlights

The disappearing purple color gives a clear visual cue during application, which is useful when covering larger sheets, assembling cards, or helping children work on school projects. As the glue dries, the color fades, leaving the finished paper or craft without a lasting purple mark. The stick format is straightforward to apply, and its medium viscosity helps keep the adhesive manageable as you work.

Use it on paper and cardboard for schoolwork, scrapbooking, and craft assembly. The product information also lists foam board, fabric, photos, and glass among compatible materials, so the same glue stick can serve for varied projects around a classroom or craft table. Its washable formula is handy for projects where cleanup matters, while acid-free, archival-safe, and photo-safe properties make it suitable for paper keepsakes and photo crafts. It is also fast-drying, non-toxic, ACMI certified, and conforms to ASTM D 4236.

Buyers often highlight the visible purple application, ease of use, and usefulness for card making and other paper crafts. Feedback on adhesion and durability is mixed, so results may depend on the materials and project. The main practical advantage is the easy-to-follow application color paired with a generously sized stick.

Quick sizing guide

This pack contains six glue sticks, each with 1.27 oz of adhesive. That format is useful when you want several sticks available for recurring school or craft sessions, or when more than one person is working on a project. Choose a stick for individual paper tasks, and keep the others ready for the next poster, card, or classroom activity. The larger per-stick amount also suits projects that call for covering more area than a small detail or single attachment point.

Who it’s for

Avery Glue Stic is a practical fit for students, teachers, families, and crafters who regularly assemble paper-based projects. The purple color can help children see where they have applied glue, while the washable formula and stick applicator suit hands-on activities. For card making, photo crafts, classroom displays, or mixed-material projects using the listed compatible surfaces, it offers a simple alternative to liquid glue when controlled, visible application is useful. Worth considering if you want a multi-stick supply for everyday projects rather than a single glue stick for occasional use.

Buying verdict

Choose this six-pack for a ready supply of washable, acid-free glue sticks that make application visible and work across common school and craft materials. With 1.27 oz in each stick, fading purple color, and photo-safe properties, Avery 98071 is well suited to repeat paper crafts, classroom assignments, and card-making sessions where clear coverage and easy handling matter.
