## Description

Set up the AuKing Q8 for a bedroom movie night, a family gathering, or a game session on a larger screen. Its compact design makes it easy to place in a home viewing space, while HDMI and USB give you wired ways to connect compatible devices. Want a simple projector for a home theater setup? The Q8 pairs Full HD 1080p resolution with a built-in speaker for straightforward viewing.

## Why it’s worth it

The Q8 is designed around at-home entertainment, with a Full HD 1920 x 1080 native resolution for movies, shows, and games. It can project an image up to 200 inches, giving you room to create a more shared, big-screen experience for movie nights or casual gaming. Its compact form and 1.7-pound weight also make it easier to move between rooms than a larger, fixed home theater setup.

For wired connections, HDMI supports devices such as a TV box, laptop, or gaming console, and USB offers another connection option. A built-in speaker provides audio for casual viewing, while a 3.5mm audio connection supports a compatible speaker. The projector also comes with a remote control, so you can operate it from your seat.

## Quick overview

AuKing’s Q8 uses an LCD display and lists 200 ANSI lumens of brightness. It is intended for home cinema use, including movies in a bedroom or a relaxed family viewing session. Its 30-to-200-inch image size range gives you flexibility to choose a smaller picture for a closer setup or a larger one for a group viewing space.

The Q8 uses wired HDMI and USB connections rather than Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or an app-based setup. To mirror content from a cell phone, you’ll need a separately sold HDMI adapter. This makes the projector a practical match for buyers who plan to connect a source device directly, rather than rely on built-in wireless streaming. Buyer feedback often highlights the compact size, clear picture, and family movie use, impressions of brightness and built-in audio vary.

## Everyday use

For a bedroom movie night, place the projector where it can cast the image onto a suitable wall, connect a laptop or TV box through HDMI, and use the remote to control viewing. The built-in speaker keeps the basic setup simple, while the 3.5mm audio connection gives you an option to connect a compatible speaker. For phone mirroring, use an HDMI adapter sold separately and connect the phone through the adapter.

The projector also suits casual game sessions with a compatible console, or a shared movie in a home gathering space. Its portable size makes it easier to reposition when your viewing setup changes. Since the Q8 is intended for home theater use, its features are centered on personal entertainment rather than business presentations.

## Should you buy it?

Choose the AuKing Q8 if you want a compact Full HD projector for wired home viewing, with HDMI and USB connectivity, a built-in speaker, and projection up to 200 inches. It works especially well as a flexible option for bedroom movies, family entertainment, and casual gaming when you have a compatible source device ready to connect. A 2-year warranty is also included.
