Asterom 701c-36 Handcrafted Oak Walking Cane, 36-Inch, Caramel

At a glance

For everyday walking support with a traditional wooden look, the Asterom 701c-36 pairs an oak shaft with a hand-carved Derby handle. Its caramel finish brings a distinctive touch to a practical mobility aid, while the 36-inch length is listed for people who are 5'10" to 5'11". The cane is ambidextrous, so it can be used in either hand, and it includes a wrist strap and spare cane tip.

At 16 ounces, it offers a solid-wood alternative to a folding aluminum cane for someone who prefers a fixed, classic design. Asterom backs the craftsmanship with a five-year limited warranty, coverage may vary with use.

Best use cases

The oak shaft and ergonomic Derby handle make this cane suited to daily walks and routine mobility support. The broad handle shape is designed to sit comfortably in the hand, while the wrist strap helps keep the cane close when it is not in use. Its wooden construction and caramel color also make it a natural choice for someone who wants a walking aid with a more traditional appearance.

Length is an important part of choosing a cane. This 36-inch model is listed for heights of 5'10" to 5'11", with a maximum height recommendation of 6 feet. For a practical fit check, stand naturally in your shoes with your arm relaxed at your side: the handle should sit around wrist level. Anyone choosing between a fixed cane and a folding style can use this model as a reference point when a solid oak shaft and classic handle matter more than a fold-away format.

Everyday use

The carved wooden Derby handle gives the hand a shaped surface to hold, and the cane is designed for use in either hand. A replaceable rubber tip provides contact with the walking surface, and the included spare tip is useful to have on hand when the original needs replacement. The standard tip can be changed for another tip with a 7/8-inch inner diameter, including compatible wide or quad-style tips.

Buyers often highlight the oak construction, finish, comfortable handle, and substantial feel. Those impressions can help inform a style and handling preference, while the cane’s practical fit still depends on choosing the appropriate length. The listed contents are a walking cane, wrist strap, and spare cane tip. Asterom also provides a five-year limited craftsmanship warranty, with coverage depending on product use.
