Asmodee Thunder's Edge Expansion Board Game 🎲
Product description
This expansion for Twilight Imperium 4th Edition brings deeper galactic conflict and fresh strategic options for experienced players, with new factions and planets to expand every campaign. If you enjoy long, tactical sci‑fi sessions, this add‑on extends player count and variety while keeping core rules familiar.
What matters most
Thunder's Edge adds six new playable factions and 43 planets that broaden strategic diversity and replayability. The expansion injects dynamic galactic events that change rules midgame, so matches feel unpredictable and tense. If you favor evolving scenarios and emergent stories, this pack gives more variety without changing the base game's identity.
Key specifications

Why it’s worth it
This expansion emphasizes customization and extended conflict, including a Twilight Drop mode to build bespoke factions. The semi-independent mode and the sheer number of components make for longer, richer campaigns and new tactical choices. Expect greater complexity and longer setup, which suits groups that like immersive play and deep negotiation.
Who it’s for
It suits you if you already own Twilight Imperium 4th Edition and want to boost variety, enjoy long strategy sessions, and appreciate modular content that changes each play. It may not suit you if you rarely play campaigns longer than a few hours or prefer lighter rule sets, since the expansion increases game length and complexity.
What it works with
Thunder's Edge requires the base Twilight Imperium 4th Edition to play and integrates with existing components for a seamless upgrade to your collection. It complements large group sessions and campaign‑style play while offering fresh options for veteran players.
