## Description

At 10.63 inches deep, 7.87 inches wide, and 11.89 inches high, the Antarctic Star HZB-15NH/S is designed for countertop use. It makes soft, chewable nugget ice, with ice ready in 6–10 minutes. Choose it when you want nugget ice for drinks rather than the hard cubes typically made with trays. Its compact design and built-in handle also make it practical for moving between spaces.

## Pros

The nugget-style ice is soft and crunchy, making it easy to chew and a natural fit for iced coffee, cocktails, smoothies, and other cold drinks. Unlike a setup focused on standard ice cubes, this machine produces the chewable format many people prefer for sipping and mixing. It can make up to 35 pounds of ice per 24 hours, giving you a steady supply for everyday drinks or a gathering.

The first ice is ready in 6–10 minutes, so you can start serving without waiting for a full day’s production. One-button operation keeps the process simple, while LED indicators alert you when the water is low or the ice basket is full. These reminders make it easier to keep track of the machine as you use it. A self-cleaning function is built in, and the listed operating noise is under 45 dB.

## Worth noting

The countertop footprint and built-in handle support flexible placement in a kitchen, dorm, camper, or office. Its stated dimensions make it easier to plan where it will sit, while the handle is useful when you want to move it to another spot. The silver finish gives the appliance a straightforward look for a range of countertop settings.

The package includes the ice maker, a manual, an ice scoop, and an ice basket, so you have the main pieces for making and serving ice together. The listed voltage is 115 volts. For drinks that benefit from soft, chewable ice, this format offers a different everyday experience from relying on conventional cubes.

## Everyday use

Set the machine on a countertop in the space where you prepare or serve drinks, then use its one-button operation to start making ice. When the basket is full, the LED indicator provides a prompt, the low-water alert helps you know when the machine needs attention. The included scoop makes it convenient to transfer ice into glasses or a serving container.

At home, keep it near the area where iced coffee, smoothies, or cocktails are made. For an office, dorm, or camper, the compact design and handle make it easier to position the machine where fresh nugget ice is useful. The self-cleaning function offers a built-in way to support routine care, while the basket and scoop help keep serving straightforward.

## Is it worth it?

The Antarctic Star HZB-15NH/S is a strong match for anyone who specifically wants soft nugget ice on the counter, rather than a supply of traditional hard cubes. Its quick ice-making cycle, up to 35 pounds of production per day, and simple indicator-led operation support regular use for drinks at home or in shared spaces. Add the compact footprint, carrying handle, included scoop and basket, and self-cleaning function, and it brings the key steps of making and serving chewable ice into one countertop appliance.
