## Description

## How it fits

For iced coffee at the kitchen counter, cold drinks in a home office, or refreshments during a get-together, the Antarctic Star countertop nugget ice maker produces soft, chewable ice in a compact footprint. Its nugget-style pieces offer a different feel from conventional hard cubes and work well in coffee, cocktails, and soft drinks. The machine can make ice in as little as 6 minutes and has a stated daily production capacity of up to 35 lb.

At 11.22 inches deep, 8.86 inches wide, and 12.8 inches high, it is designed for countertop placement. The included ice basket collects the nuggets as they are made, while one-touch operation keeps everyday use straightforward.

## Why it makes sense

Nugget ice is the defining choice here: its soft, airy texture is made for people who like ice they can chew and drinks where smaller pieces mix easily with each sip. Choose this style over a machine focused on traditional hard cubes when the texture of the ice matters as much as keeping a drink cold. For example, set it up in the kitchen for iced coffee, then use it to prepare soft drinks or cocktails when guests are over.

A one-touch self-cleaning function adds a simple cleaning step to the routine, and the stainless steel construction gives the countertop appliance a defined finish. Buyers often praise the nugget ice and how quickly it is produced. Feedback on reliability is mixed, and some buyers mention noticing operating noise, so experiences vary.
