## Description

## Usage tips

Nugget ice is the defining format of the Antarctic Star HZB-15DN, made for people who prefer small, chewable pieces over traditional hard cubes. Its countertop design and one-touch dispensing suit everyday drinks at home or in an office. The machine has a 1.8 L water tank and a 1.5 lb ice basket, so it can produce ice on demand without serving as a large-capacity storage bin.

Place a cup beneath the outlet and use the touchscreen to dispense ice, the included detachable cup tray is designed to align with the outlet. The stated first-batch time is 10–15 minutes, which can help when preparing a drink rather than filling a cooler at once. The product information also describes a removable tank, visual window, and light indicator for operating status. Follow the machine’s instructions for filling and cleaning.

## Key specifications

- Type: Countertop nugget ice maker
- Capacity: 1.8 L water tank, 1.5 lb ice storage basket
- Power: 120 watts, 110 volts
- Reference: HZB-15DN

The listed production rate is up to 33 lb of ice per 24 hours. That figure describes output over time, not how much the basket holds at once. The distinction matters if you are comparing a compact dispenser with an ice maker intended to keep a larger supply ready for serving.

## Why it’s worth it

The main appeal is having chewable nugget ice and a dispensing function in one countertop appliance. The touchscreen and one-touch operation keep the basic task simple, while the self-cleaning function is intended to clean the internal water lines. A light alert and viewing window add useful status cues without requiring you to guess whether ice is visible in the machine.

A solid pick if you want nugget ice for drinks throughout the day and prefer dispensing it directly into a cup. It might not be a great match if you need a large batch stored and ready at once: the listed basket capacity is 1.5 lb, even though the stated daily production is higher. The removable tank and compact format favor countertop use, while someone choosing primarily for bulk ice storage may want to compare the basket capacity carefully.

## Practical questions

**How quickly does it make the first batch?** The product information states that the first batch is ready in 10–15 minutes. Actual timing beyond that stated figure is not specified.

**How much water and ice can it hold?** The water tank holds 1.8 L, and the ice basket holds 1.5 lb. These are separate capacities: the tank is for water, while the basket stores produced ice.

**Does it dispense ice into a cup?** Yes. The listed design includes a touchscreen-operated outlet and a detachable cup tray that aligns with it. The description presents dispensing as a one-touch operation.

## When it makes sense

Choose the HZB-15DN when nugget ice, countertop placement, and cup-by-cup dispensing are more important than keeping a large reserve in the basket. Its stated production rate and removable water tank support repeated use for drinks at home or in an office, while the 1.5 lb storage capacity sets a clear expectation for how much ice can be held ready at one time.
