## Description

Some households want ice ready for everyday drinks, others only need it occasionally and are happy to plan ahead. The Antarctic Star HZB-12/Q is a compact countertop machine for making bullet ice on demand, with two selectable sizes.

It’s listed to make 8 pieces of ice in 6 minutes and up to 26.5 pounds per day. Those figures give a practical sense of its intended role: home drinks, small gatherings, or portable use where a countertop machine is more convenient than filling trays.

One concrete boundary is the stated daily output of 26.5 pounds. That gives buyers with heavier ice demand a figure to compare against before choosing it.

## Fit and sizing

At 10.39 inches deep, 10.22 inches wide, and 8.66 inches high, the machine is sized for countertop placement. A carry handle and portable design are also listed for use in an office or RV, as well as at home or while camping. It comes with an ice basket and scoop, so serving the ice does not depend on finding those accessories separately.

The listing specifies a 1-liter capacity, but doesn’t identify what that volume refers to. If tank or basket capacity is central to your decision, the available details don’t clarify it. For everyday use, consider whether the machine’s footprint and stated daily output match your counter space and likely demand.

## Where it shines

Selectable small and large bullet ice sizes make it easier to choose a format for different drinks. The stated production rate—8 pieces in 6 minutes—may suit someone who wants to make ice as needed rather than prepare trays in advance. The listed 26.5-pound daily output also provides a useful comparison point for planning drinks at home or for a small get-together.

A one-touch self-cleaning function is included, which gives the routine maintenance process a simple control. The manufacturer also describes the machine as energy-saving and ultra-quiet, but the supplied details don’t include energy-use or noise measurements. Treat those descriptions as claims rather than quantified comparisons.

Buyer feedback is favorable about quick ice production and compact size, while comments on reliability and durability are mixed. Some buyers report that the machine works well, others describe it stopping or breaking after a relatively short time. That uncertainty is worth weighing if long-term dependability is your main priority.

## Final verdict

A solid pick if you want a portable countertop ice maker with two ice-size settings, self-cleaning, and a stated daily output for home or occasional away-from-home use. Compared with relying on ice trays, it offers on-demand production, compared with a higher-output setup, its 26.5-pound daily figure sets a clear ceiling. You may want to skip it if your expected demand exceeds that output or mixed reports about durability weigh heavily in your decision.
