## Description

Set up the Antarctic Star countertop ice maker in your kitchen when you want bullet ice for everyday drinks, gatherings, or a trip in an RV. It makes 8 pieces in 6 minutes and offers two selectable ice sizes. Need ice that suits different drinks? Choose small or large pieces, then use the included basket and scoop to serve them.

## Highlights
The HZB-12/Q combines countertop ice making with a stated daily production of 26.5 pounds, giving you a dedicated source of ice for home use and get-togethers. Its 8-piece cycle takes 6 minutes, so it can keep making batches as you prepare drinks. Instead of filling and rotating ice trays, you can make bullet ice in the machine and serve it from the basket.

Select small or large ice to suit different preferences and beverages. Small pieces work well when you want ice distributed throughout a drink, while the larger setting offers another option for chilling beverages. A one-touch self-cleaning function helps simplify routine interior care: activate the cleaning cycle as part of maintaining the machine, rather than relying only on manual wiping.

The included ice basket and scoop support serving and handling, while the carry handle adds practicality when moving the compact unit between suitable countertop spaces. Buyers appreciate its quick ice production and compact footprint. Feedback on reliability and durability is mixed, with some reporting that it works well and others describing early failures, this is useful context when weighing convenience against long-term ownership expectations.

## Size & fit
The machine measures 10.39 inches deep, 10.22 inches wide, and 8.66 inches high. Its compact countertop format is suited to kitchens and other spaces where a standalone ice maker is more practical than using a larger appliance. The carry handle helps when repositioning it, including for RV use. Plan a stable countertop spot that gives you access to the machine for making and serving ice.

## Best use cases
For everyday home use, the selectable sizes make it easy to choose an ice format for different drinks, from a glass of water to beverages served to guests. At a gathering, the short stated production cycle and 26.5-pound daily output provide a way to make batches at the counter instead of preparing trays in advance. The basket and scoop make it straightforward to collect and serve the finished ice.

Its portable design also suits an office, kitchen, or RV setting where a compact ice maker is useful. For camping or other outings, use it where you have an appropriate place and power source to operate the machine. The self-cleaning function is another practical feature for regular use, helping keep the interior care routine simple between ice-making sessions.

## Final verdict
The Antarctic Star HZB-12/Q is a practical fit for people who want countertop bullet ice, a choice of two sizes, and a built-in self-cleaning function in one compact machine. Its quick 8-piece cycle, stated daily output, basket, scoop, and carry handle support everyday drink prep as well as serving guests or using it in an RV. Choose it for convenient countertop ice making when those features match the way you serve cold drinks.
