## Description

For reading on the couch, streaming a show, or checking in with Alexa, the [amazon](https://www.amazon.com/-/dp/B0F44PWZGD?tag=globalofertit-20) Alexa Tablet 8 brings apps and everyday entertainment into a compact 8.7-inch design. Its 4GB of RAM and 8-core chip support a range of daily tasks, while Google Play gives you access to more than a million apps.

The graphite tablet pairs a vivid display with a thin, lightweight aluminum unibody. It is designed for one-handed reading and easy portability.

## Technical overview

The 8.7-inch display makes this tablet a handy size for Kindle books, video, and browsing. With 64GB of storage, there is space for apps and content, and Wi-Fi 6 supports wireless connectivity. An 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera are included for photo and video use.

An 8-core chip and 4GB RAM power the tablet, while its battery supports up to 14 hours of video playback. Dual stereo speakers provide built-in audio for shows, music, and other content. The aluminum unibody keeps the design slim and light while giving it a durable construction.

Google Play offers apps across streaming, social media, fitness, finance, and gaming, subscriptions may be required for some services. Amazon apps including Prime Video, Kindle, Audible, Amazon Music, and Amazon Luna are built in, with single sign-on and personalized content that syncs across devices. Alexa+ offers personalized help and suggestions. It comes with the tablet and is available on compatible devices with a Prime membership.

## Everyday use

Switch between entertainment, reading, and everyday apps on one portable device. For a commute or a quiet break, the Kindle reading experience can silence notifications, adjust the display for your eyes, and extend battery use for reading. At home, the stereo speakers suit video and music, while the front and rear cameras add photo and video functions. Wi-Fi 6 supports connecting to a wireless network for online apps and content.

Buyers often praise the straightforward setup and well-constructed feel. Feedback on screen quality is less favorable, with some describing the image as pixelated or blurry, opinions on speed and performance are mixed. This feedback is useful context if display clarity is a deciding factor. Compared with a reading-only device, the Tablet 8 adds Google Play apps, cameras, speakers, and Amazon entertainment services for a broader mix of tasks.

## Tips for day-to-day use

Use the Kindle reading experience when you want fewer interruptions, and switch to Google Play apps for streaming, gaming, fitness, or other routines. Amazon apps can sync personalized content across devices with single sign-on. If you plan to use subscription-based services, check the requirements for each app or service before getting started. Alexa+ can help with suggestions and everyday tasks, with Prime membership applying to its availability on compatible devices.

## Buying verdict

The Amazon Alexa Tablet 8 is suited to people who want a compact tablet for reading, streaming, and general app use rather than a device focused on a single activity. Its 8.7-inch size, 64GB storage, built-in Amazon apps, Google Play access, and up to 14 hours of video playback support a flexible daily setup. The lightweight aluminum design also makes it practical to carry between rooms or take along for reading and entertainment.
