AmazerBath Non-Slip Shower Mat 40 x 16 Inches

Families with kids or older adults who want added grip in the tub may find this mat worth considering. Its suction cups are designed to hold it against a smooth, clean surface.

The 40 x 16-inch PVC mat has 176 drain holes, so water can flow through rather than pooling on its surface.

If you prioritize broad tub coverage and drainage, this design fits that approach, if you prefer a mat that can attach to a textured tub, this one has a clear limitation.

Getting the most from it

Start with the right surface: the mat is made to attach to smooth, clean surfaces, not textured ones. A quick check of your tub or shower floor before buying matters more here than the number of suction cups. The design includes 200 cups, but they are not a workaround for an unsuitable surface.

In everyday use, picture stepping into the shower and placing your feet on the mat while water runs through its drain holes. That open layout is intended to help water drain away and keep the mat from sitting in a puddle. After use, the mat can be cleaned in a washing machine and left to air-dry. Keeping those steps in mind makes its maintenance fairly straightforward.

Why it’s worth it

The useful combination is its stated size, suction-cup backing, and drainage openings. At 40 x 16 inches, it is described as large enough to cover most standard tubs and shower stalls, while the PVC construction keeps the format simple to clean. You’ll appreciate it if you want one mat for a family bathroom and can confirm that the surface is smooth and clean.

Compared with a smaller mat focused on covering just one standing spot, this one is intended to span more of the bathing area. That broader coverage may suit shared use, though the stated dimensions do not guarantee a fit in every tub or stall. Measure your available floor space and consider where the drain sits before choosing it.

Key features

• Size: 40 x 16 inches, described as extra large for most standard tubs and shower stalls.
• Material: PVC.
• Grip design: 200 suction cups intended to help the mat stay in place on smooth, clean surfaces.
• Drainage: 176 holes allow water to pass through the mat.
• Care: Machine washable, air-dry afterward.
• Color: Clear blue.

From the way it is set up, surface compatibility is the main thing to get right. It is not a universal fit for textured bathing surfaces, and the product information does not specify dimensions for individual tubs or shower stalls.

When it makes sense

This AmazerBath shower mat makes sense if you want a larger PVC option with suction cups and drainage holes, and your tub or stall has a smooth, clean surface. It may be especially practical in a household where more than one person uses the same bathing area and easy washing is a priority.

It’s not for you if your bathing surface is textured or if you need a mat sized to a specific stall and have not checked its dimensions. In those cases, a mat designed for that surface or a more precisely sized option is the better direction. Choose this one when its broad format matches your space, skip it when the surface itself rules out suction-cup attachment.
