Aluvor AL-Round Shower Drain Hair Catcher, Weighted Metal, Silver Gray

After a shower, hair left around the drain can be a hassle to clear. The Aluvor AL-Round is a cover-style catcher that sits over a round, flat drain and collects human or pet hair before it enters the pipe.

Its weighted metal body and soft silicone edge are designed to help it stay in place. Would a low-profile cover be easier to manage than a catcher fitted inside the drain? This one rests on top, so it can be lifted for cleaning.

The silver gray finish and flat profile keep the design simple. Fit is the key decision: the product is intended for drain outlets under 4.5 inches, so measure the opening before choosing it.

Technical overview

The AL-Round combines a polished metal cover with a silicone surround. Dense drainage holes let water pass through while the surface catches hair. It is designed for round, flat shower drains, and the stated dimensions provide a useful reference when comparing it with the drain area.

Usage tips

Place the catcher flat over the drain rather than inserting it into the pipe. Before use, compare your drain’s shape and outlet size with the stated fit, the product is not described for every drain style. After showering, lift it, remove collected hair with a dry paper towel, and rinse it with water. That routine is simple, but it does mean clearing the cover regularly instead of relying on a catcher that remains inside the drain.

You’ll appreciate it if you want a removable surface catcher for a round, flat shower drain and prefer a weighted design with a silicone edge. It might not be a great match if your drain is not round and flat or its outlet is 4.5 inches or larger, since those configurations fall outside the stated fit guidance.

Everyday use

For a household shower where hair routinely collects near the drain, this cover offers a visible, lift-off place to catch it. It can also be used over suitable sink or tub drains, according to the product details. Compared with a basic open drain, it adds a removable filtering surface, a built-in grate or an in-drain catcher may suit someone who wants a different setup. The AL-Round’s main tradeoff is practical: it needs to sit correctly over the drain and be cleared when hair gathers.

Should you buy it?

Choose the Aluvor AL-Round if your drain matches the round, flat design and measures within the stated size guidance, and you want a weighted metal catcher that can be lifted for cleaning. The dimensions, under-4.5-inch fit guidance, and silicone edge are the most useful details to compare before buying. If the drain shape or opening does not match, a catcher designed for that specific drain style is the more sensible choice.
