## Description

## Everyday use

Light a yard, garage entrance, walkway, or balcony with a wall- or soffit-mounted floodlight that responds to changing needs outdoors. The ALUSSO YDS-40W-BD4-1 uses a motion sensor and offers three operating modes. Its remote lets you adjust lighting settings without reaching the fixture.

Choose Auto mode for light at night when motion is detected, On Time mode for continuous lighting, or Dusk-to-Dawn mode for lighting that operates only at night. The sensor and light heads are adjustable, so you can direct coverage toward an entry, driveway approach, or the part of the yard you want illuminated. The listed 270° beam angle and 120° detection angle help you plan how to position the fixture for your space.

## Benefits

A fixed-color floodlight gives you one lighting tone and brightness level. This ALUSSO model lets you tailor both: select a color temperature from 3000K to 6000K and dim the light from 10% to 100%. Use a warmer white setting for a softer look around a patio, or choose a cooler white for a more neutral outdoor appearance. Adjusting the brightness can also help match the light to the area and task.

The included remote controls color temperature, dimming, operating modes, and timing. That gives you access to those settings from the ground rather than having to reach the mounted fixture for each adjustment. The black plastic fixture has an IP65 waterproof rating and is ETL listed, with a 40W LED light source for outdoor security lighting.

## What to know

This is a 120V AC hardwired light, not a solar- or battery-powered model. Installation is for wall or soffit mounting, and the base is designed to fit a 3-inch or 3.5-inch round junction box. Check that the intended mounting point matches this box size before installation. The fixture measures 8 x 7 x 6 inches, and its heads and sensor can be adjusted to direct the light and detection area.

For a typical evening setup, aim the adjustable heads toward the areas you want lit and set Auto mode so the light comes on at night when motion is detected. If you prefer a different look or brightness for the same location, use the remote to change the color temperature or dimming level. The choice of modes also supports different routines, from motion-triggered lighting to continuous or nighttime-only operation.

## Before you decide

**Which modes does the floodlight offer?** It has Auto, On Time, and Dusk-to-Dawn modes. Auto activates at night when motion is detected, On Time keeps the light on, Dusk-to-Dawn operates only at night.

**Can I adjust the color and brightness?** Yes. The color temperature is adjustable from 3000K to 6000K, and brightness can be dimmed from 10% to 100%. The included remote controls these settings along with modes and timing.

**What should I check for installation?** The fixture is hardwired to 120V AC and mounts to a 3-inch or 3.5-inch round junction box. Its stated installation locations are walls and soffits.

## Buying verdict

Choose the ALUSSO YDS-40W-BD4-1 when you want an outdoor, hardwired motion-sensor floodlight with more control than a fixed-output fixture provides. Its adjustable color temperature, dimming, remote operation, and three modes make it useful for tailoring security lighting around a yard, garage, walkway, or other outdoor area.
