Alesis Recital Home RECITALHOMEBLK Digital Piano with 88 Weighted Keys

For home practice or a piano lesson where a teacher and student need to play side by side, the Alesis Recital Home combines a full set of 88 weighted keys with a built-in Lesson Mode. Its graded hammer-action keys have adjustable touch sensitivity, giving players room to work on a more piano-like response as their skills develop.

It also comes with a wooden stand, a sheet music or tablet stand, and a three-pedal unit, so the basic playing setup is included. The piano weighs 19 kg and uses an AC power adapter, details worth considering when choosing where it will stay.

What stands out

The 88 graded hammer-action keys are the defining feature for anyone choosing between a piano-style keyboard and a lighter, less piano-like keybed. Adjustable touch sensitivity lets you tailor the response, while Lesson Mode divides the keyboard into two zones with the same pitch and voice. That can make it easier for a teacher and student to follow the same passage without reaching across the instrument.

A built-in 20W speaker system supports practice without requiring a separate speaker setup. There are 25 onboard sounds, including acoustic and electric pianos, organs, strings, and other instrument types. Layer mode combines two sounds, Split mode assigns sounds to different keyboard areas, and adjustable reverb adds an effect. These options add variety, though the instrument’s main appeal is its full-size piano layout rather than an expansive sound library.

Key points

The included three-pedal unit provides soft, sostenuto, and damper/sustain functions. A wooden keyboard stand and sheet music/tablet stand are also listed, along with the power adapter. For everyday practice, the built-in metronome can help keep time, and transpose settings range from -12 to +12 semitones.

USB connects the piano to a Mac or PC for MIDI and audio use with recording or educational software. The listed software includes Skoove and Melodics, the package details also specify a 3-month Skoove Premium trial, a 30-day Melodics Premium subscription, and 100 virtual Melodics lessons. Audio connections include a 1/4-inch stereo line output and a 1/8-inch stereo auxiliary input, with 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch headphone jacks listed.

Who it’s for

It’s a great fit if you want weighted keys, built-in speakers, lesson-friendly features, and the stand and pedals in one home setup. It may also suit an intermediate player who wants a practice instrument with multiple sounds and computer connectivity. Better avoided if you specifically need a battery-powered keyboard: this model is listed with an AC power adapter as its power source.

Questions before you buy

Does it include pedals? Yes. The package lists a three-pedal unit for soft, sostenuto, and damper/sustain functions.

Can a teacher and student use the keyboard together? Lesson Mode splits the 88 keys into two zones with the same pitch and voice, allowing both players to follow and play together.

Can it connect to a computer? Yes. The product details list USB MIDI and audio connectivity for Mac and PC, plus compatibility with educational software such as Skoove and Melodics.

Is it worth it?

The Recital Home makes most sense when weighted keys, a complete home setup, and lesson-oriented features matter more than portability or a larger built-in sound selection. Its included stand and three pedals reduce the need to assemble those parts separately, while the 19 kg weight and AC adapter make it a better match for a planned practice spot than for frequent move-and-play use. If your priority is a straightforward home piano for lessons and regular practice, its combination of full-size weighted keys, speakers, and Lesson Mode is the central reason to consider it.
