## Description

The AKG C104 is a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone with a wired XLR connection, giving you a clear, straightforward format for a studio or content-creation setup.

Its unidirectional pickup pattern suits focused recording of vocals and instruments. Use it for podcasting, streaming, broadcasting, music recording, or video production.

The metal microphone body is made from 100% recycled PIR metal, and the packaging is designed to minimize environmental impact. That brings a sustainability-minded detail to a versatile recording tool.

## Strengths

The C104 is designed for creators who want one microphone for voice work as well as musical sources. Its cardioid pattern provides a directional approach to capture, making it a practical choice when positioning the mic toward a speaker, singer, or instrument is part of your recording setup. The large-diaphragm condenser format is suited to studio recording, while the XLR connector fits into wired audio workflows.

For a podcast or streaming session, position the microphone for the speaker and connect it through an XLR setup. For music, the listed applications include vocals, guitar amplifiers, drums, piano, percussion, and wind and string instruments. A stand-mountable form factor supports placement at a recording position, and the included H81 stand mount helps with that setup.

Compared with choosing a microphone around a single use, the C104 brings voice, broadcast, video, and music recording into one product. Its eco-conscious construction also gives buyers a concrete design feature to consider alongside its recording format.
