Airlab W039-CAKE Wooden Cake Toy Set with 7 Desserts and Cupcake Stand

For kids ages 3 and up who enjoy tea parties, kitchen play, or running an imaginary dessert shop, the Airlab W039-CAKE turns wooden play food into a ready-made theme for pretend gatherings. It includes seven dessert styles and a cupcake stand that needs assembly. What might happen when a tea party becomes a bakery? The pieces give kids a simple starting point for serving, sharing, and making up their own play scenarios.

Worth noting

This wooden play food set includes Sachertorte, a muffin, Helvetic rolls, mousse, chiffon cake, soufflé, and ice cream cake, plus a large cupcake stand. The variety makes it easy to invent different roles: a child can arrange the desserts, offer choices to guests, or pretend to run a small café. The stand helps bring the display together, giving tea-party play a focal point instead of leaving the treats as a loose collection of food toys.

Wood is the defining material, and the desserts are described as colorful with smooth, sanded edges and non-toxic paint. Those details suit hands-on pretend play, where children pick up, arrange, and pass pieces around. Buyers commonly praise the set’s appearance and play appeal, with some also describing the wooden pieces as sturdy. These are customer impressions, while the set itself offers a screen-free way to explore imaginative role play, color recognition, and social skills such as sharing and taking turns.

Compared with choosing individual play-food pieces, this set gives a tea party or dessert-shop scenario a clear theme from the start. It can also join a toy kitchen setup, adding a collection of sweets for serving and display.

Fit and sizing

The listed item dimensions are 9.85 x 7.6 x 5.9 inches. The product is intended for children ages 3 and up, making it suited to preschool pretend play and shared make-believe with family or friends. The cupcake stand requires assembly, so set it up before presenting the set for play. Its dessert-shop theme works especially well when a child enjoys arranging pretend food, hosting guests, or taking turns as the baker and customer.

Tips for day-to-day use

A simple play routine can make the assortment more engaging: invite a child to arrange the desserts on the stand, choose what to serve, and take turns playing host and guest. Naming each dessert can add a language and recognition element, while passing pieces around encourages cooperative play. For a different scenario, the same collection can become a pretend bakery counter alongside a toy kitchen. Adults can assemble the stand before play and keep the pieces together between tea-party sessions.
