This iron fallout remover from Adam's Polishes is formulated to loosen embedded iron particles and surface rust on automotive paint, wheels and other painted surfaces so they can be rinsed away safely. It works well as a pre-clay and pre-wax step for cars, motorcycles, RVs and boats, helping reduce bonded contamination before mechanical decontamination.
Key Points
The formula is pH-neutral according to the manufacturer and turns purple as it reacts with iron contamination, giving a visible indication that the product is working. It is designed for use on clear coats and single-stage paints and is marketed as safe for ceramic-coated finishes when applied and rinsed properly. The product has reduced odor compared with some other iron removers and is free of strong acids that can etch finishes when used correctly. Consider that overspray on plastic trim or unpainted metal should be minimized and rinsed promptly.
Technical Specifications

- Volume: 5 gallon
- pH characteristic: pH-neutral formula according to the manufacturer
- Color indicator: purple reaction when it contacts iron contamination

Usage Recommendations
Rinse the vehicle to remove loose dirt first. Spray the solution onto cooled painted surfaces and wheels in manageable sections and allow the reaction to occur while avoiding prolonged dwell on plastic trim or exposed metal. After the reaction is visible and contaminants have loosened, rinse thoroughly before proceeding with clay bar work, waxing or washing. For tough, heavily contaminated areas, repeat the application or follow with mechanical clay removal as needed. Note that the manufacturer advises avoiding extended contact on non-painted metal and trim pieces to prevent possible staining or damage.
