AceVernine Soft Indoor Volleyball, 8.2-Inch Pink, Lightweight 9 oz

For kids aged 3 and up who need a softer ball for practicing volleyball at home, the AceVernine is designed for indoor play without the hard feel of a leather ball. Its cushioned construction and foam layer aim to make practice gentler on hands and quieter around the house, while its bounce is described as realistic for skill work.

It is a pink, 8.2-inch ball made with a polyester outer fabric. A pump is included, so the package covers the basic setup for practice.

Key features

The soft, cushioned build is the main reason to consider this ball for children or beginners. Compared with a hard leather volleyball, it is intended to reduce the sting of mishits and soften contact with walls, floors, and furniture. The foam layer is also designed to absorb some of the noise made during play, that may help when practicing in a hallway, basement, or shared living space, though it is not a guarantee of silent play.

The listing describes the bounce as realistic and the ball as offering a familiar hand feel. That makes it more relevant for basic volleyball practice than a lightweight play ball with little resemblance to a volleyball. Its polyester fabric is water-resistant, and the product is presented for indoor or outdoor settings, including a backyard or beach. Water resistance does not mean it is suitable for submersion.

Best use cases

This ball makes the most sense for casual practice at home, especially when a hard ball would be disruptive or uncomfortable for a newer player. A child can work on basic contact and control in a room with enough open space, while the softer surface offers a more forgiving alternative to a standard hard volleyball. It is also described for outdoor recreation, but the key distinction is its soft construction rather than a documented competition specification.

It makes sense if you want a child-friendly practice ball and value a softer feel, a more manageable indoor sound profile, and a pump in the package. It might not be a great match if you specifically need the feel and defined playing characteristics of a conventional hard volleyball for formal play, the listing does not provide a certification or competition standard.

How to use it

Inflate the ball with the included pump before playing. The listing does not give a recommended inflation pressure, so avoid guessing at a target based on another ball. Set up practice in an open area, away from fragile objects, and use the soft construction as an added consideration—not a reason to assume walls or furniture cannot be marked or damaged.

For indoor drills, short exchanges and basic handling are a practical fit for the product’s stated purpose. It can also be used outside on surfaces such as a backyard or beach, according to the listing. Since no care or cleaning instructions are provided, follow the material’s needs without assuming the water-resistant fabric can be soaked or machine-washed.

Before you decide

What age is it intended for? The product details list an age range of kids aged 3 and up. That describes the intended audience, not a substitute for adult judgment about a child’s ability to play safely.

What comes in the package? The listing specifies one pink, standard-size soft volleyball and one pump.

Can it be used outside? The product is described for indoor and outdoor use, including the backyard and beach. Its outer fabric is called water-resistant, but no waterproof rating or submersion guidance is provided.

Should you buy it?

Choose the AceVernine if the priority is a softer, less disruptive way for a child or beginner to practice volleyball at home, with a pump included and a stated 8.2-inch size. It offers a different tradeoff from a conventional hard volleyball: more cushioning for casual drills, rather than a documented standard for formal competition. If that familiar hard-ball feel is essential, a regular volleyball is the clearer fit, for gentle home practice, this design is the more relevant choice.
