Best use cases

Use the kit to add a seat and trapeze bar to a backyard swing-frame project. The seat chains include thermoplastic covering along part of their length, and the trapeze chains and rings have plastic covering as well. These covered sections are designed to help protect users from contact with the chains during play. For installation, choose lumber sized to suit the brackets and avoid striking or forcing the brackets into place, the product instructions warn that force during installation can cause cracking.

Buyer feedback is mixed. Some describe assembly as straightforward and say children enjoy using the swing setup. Others report a tight fit on 4x6 lumber and brackets cracking or breaking during installation, there are also concerns about durability and safety. These experiences are useful context when planning the frame and fitting the hardware.

Who it’s for

This kit is suited to people putting together a swing area who want the brackets, hangers, seat, and trapeze bar in one set. It can fit a project focused on a single swing seat with a separate trapeze activity, rather than a setup designed around multiple seats. The included components also make it a practical alternative to buying mounting hardware and play pieces separately. Before assembling, plan the frame around lumber that matches the brackets and follow the installation guidance to avoid applying force.

Before you decide

What comes in the kit? It includes two green A-frame brackets, four swing hangers, one swing seat, and one ring trapeze bar.

How many seats can the setup accommodate? The stated maximum compatible number is one seat. The trapeze bar is an additional play component, not a second swing seat.

Are the chains covered? The seat chains have 30 inches of thermoplastic covering. The trapeze bar’s two chains are 47 inches long, and the rings and 25 inches of chain are covered with plastic.

Should you buy it?

Choose this ABUSA set for a swing-frame project that calls for two mounting brackets, four hangers, and both a seat and ring trapeze bar. Its combination of frame hardware and play components is the key benefit for a single-seat setup. Match the lumber to the brackets and install without force to help keep the assembly process aligned with the product’s guidance.
