## Description

## Quick overview
This wireless mechanical keyboard mixes classic styling with modern features, aimed at gamers and typists who want flexible connectivity and a tactile feel. Use it wired or via Bluetooth or 2.4G for low-latency play, and enjoy on-the-fly mapping and RGB backlight options. The **wireless mechanical keyboard** design favors customization and long sessions with comfortable MDA-like key height. 🎯

## Why it makes sense
The Retro 87 comes from an official collaboration with Mecha BREAK Panther, and it focuses on hot-swap convenience and a ready-to-use layout. You get **hot-swappable PCB** support, so switches can be changed without soldering, and the fast-mapping Super Buttons let you remap keys without software. **RGB Backlight** brings per-key lighting, and the integrated Game Bar Button simplifies mode switching. Why choose a modular board over a sealed one? Swap switches as your preferences evolve, keeping the same sturdy frame and key feel.

## Technical details

## What it works with
The keyboard pairs with a wide range of devices, from desktop PCs to Android tablets, and supports n-key rollover for simultaneous key presses during gaming. **Kailh Glaze Jellyfish Pro** linear switches aim for smooth, consistent travel, and the top mount style helps reduce flex while keeping a satisfying sound profile. 🎮

## Getting the most from it
**8BitDo Retro 87** performs well out of the box thanks to function shortcut keys and Fn lock, plus optional use of 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2 if you prefer deeper customization. It supports fast mapping on hardware Super Buttons so you can tweak layouts quickly without a computer. Curious about switch feel versus other linear options? Try a spare switch first to confirm the travel and actuation that suit you. 🛠️
