13th Birthday Cake Decorations, Purple

For a cake that needs to carry the party’s purple theme without a separate decorating project, this 13th birthday set combines a glittery message topper, number candles, and small picks. Its colors and pieces are aimed at a more whimsical look, especially for a princess, galaxy, or lavender-themed celebration.

The topper and candles are sized for cakes listed as 6 to 10 inches. The set is designed to go straight into the cake, so it can add a finished birthday look without requiring assembly.

Key specifications

The main topper reads “Happy 13th Birthday” and measures 5 by 5.5 inches. The set also includes purple number 1 and 3 candles, each 2 inches tall. Together, they make the birthday age clear while keeping the decoration focused on purple rather than a mix of unrelated colors.

The topper is described as glitter cardstock, and the candles as metallic purple. The balls include both matte and glitter finishes, adding some texture around the larger pieces. The listed fit is for 6- to 10-inch cakes, if your cake falls outside that range, the proportions may not look as intended. The purple palette is also a specific style choice, not a neutral decoration set that will blend into every party theme.

Who it’s for

It suits you if you’re planning a teen’s 13th birthday around purple, lavender, princess, or galaxy decorations and want several matching cake accents in one set. For example, you can place the message topper toward the back of a small celebration cake, add the number candles in front, and distribute the balls and star or heart picks around them for a layered look.

You may want to skip it if you’re after understated cake decor, a different color scheme, or decorations that can be reused across birthdays. The age-specific message and number candles make this set particularly tied to a 13th birthday rather than a general party.

Included in the package

The package lists one purple glitter “Happy 13th Birthday” sign, two number candles (1 and 3), 17 matte or glitter balls, three star picks, and three heart picks. No assembly is needed according to the product details: the picks are inserted into the cake. That makes the set a more ready-to-place option than buying individual accents and arranging a theme from scratch, though you’ll still need to position the pieces to suit your cake.

Before you decide

Does it need to be assembled? The listed pieces do not require assembly, the picks are meant to be inserted into the cake.

What cake size is it intended for? The stated fit is for cakes measuring 6 to 10 inches, with a 5-by-5.5-inch topper and 2-inch candles.

Is it suited to a non-purple party theme? The decorations are purple, including the glitter topper and metallic candles, so they’re most at home with a coordinated purple theme. Without having tried it, the practical consideration is the design itself: it’s a distinctly themed set, not a flexible, neutral kit.

Is it worth it?

This set makes sense when the goal is a coordinated purple cake for a 13th birthday and you want the message, age candles, and smaller accents together. It offers a more decorated look than using only a number candle, while avoiding the work of sourcing each piece separately. The trade-off is its narrow theme and age-specific design. Choose it for a purple-themed cake in the listed size range, look elsewhere if you need neutral colors, a different birthday age, or decoration for a cake outside that range.
