Waterdrop Replacement Filter for Samsung DA97-17376B (2-Pack)

What this product is

The Waterdrop DA97-17376B replacement filter is designed for Samsung fridge models and comes as a 2-pack. It’s positioned as a straightforward, affordable option to maintain cleaner drinking water from compatible drop-in filters.

Why you might consider it

If you’re looking to reduce common impurities such as chlorine and taste/odour alongside other suspended particles, this filter claims to provide filtration while keeping beneficial minerals in your water. It also emphasises a more advanced coconut shell carbon block as the filtration media, aiming to offer improved performance over some older charcoal-based options.

How it fits your fridge

The filter is marketed as a precise fit for a broad set of Samsung models and related replacements listed by Waterdrop. Installation is described as tool-free and straightforward, thanks to precision manufacturing and an emphasis on a secure seal to minimise leaks.

What’s included and the build basics

You’ll receive a 2-pack, which can help spread out replacements over time. The materials are stated to be BPA-free and food-grade, with NSF 372 certification mentioned for lead-free composition. A small convenience feature is the included month-by-month install stickers to help track when to replace.

Pros you’ll notice in day-to-day use

• Potential improvements in taste and odour due to the coconut shell carbon block.
• Aims to maintain mineral content while reducing unwanted substances.
• Tool-free installation can save time and avoid fiddly fittings.
• Two filters in one purchase may offer value and convenience.

Cons and limitations to bear in mind

• The description relies on stated certifications and materials, it doesn’t replace independent testing you might want to review for specific contaminants.
• Actual performance depends on your water quality and usage, 316 gallons (or 6 months) guidance may differ with water conditions.
• The list of compatible models is long, but ensure your exact fridge model is covered by Waterdrop’s compatibility notes.

Who it’s for

This product suits households seeking a cost-conscious filter option for Samsung fridges, especially if you want an easy, tool-free replacement and a two-pack approach for maintenance planning.

Who it isn’t the best fit for

If you prioritise ultrahigh filtration performance or prefer filters with benchmarking against specific contaminants beyond chlorine and taste/odour, you might look for more granular testing data. Also, if your exact model isn’t clearly listed as compatible, it may not be a reliable fit.

When does it make sense to buy

• You want a straightforward, affordable replacement for compatible Samsung fridge filters.
• You value a two-pack to reduce the frequency of reordering.
• You’re comfortable with generic claims around NSF certifications and a coconut shell carbon block without diving into the full test results.

What to check before purchasing

• Confirm your fridge model matches one of the listed compatibility options.
• Consider the water quality in your area and whether you’re targeting specific contaminants beyond basic chlorine and odour.
• Verify that you’re happy with a filter claimed to maintain minerals while filtering impurities.

Practical usage scenario

Imagine filling the water dispenser after a morning refill and noticing a crisper taste with less chlorine scent. You’ve swapped both filters in the pack over a few months, keeping maintenance predictable without frequent shopping trips.

Quick comparison context (without naming rivals)

If you’re weighing options, this approach is more about convenience and value—two filters in one package with a focus on NSF certification and coconut shell carbon. It may sit between basic, low-cost filters and higher-spec models that prioritise more aggressive filtration or longer claimed lifespans. If you prioritise maximum filtration depth or advanced mineral preservation claims, you might opt for alternatives with more explicit performance data.

Is it worth it?

It makes sense if you want an affordable, ready-made replacement for compatible Samsung fridges and you value a two-pack for convenience. It may not be the strongest choice if you require extensive independent test data or if your fridge model sits on the edge of compatibility.
