## Description

## Highlights

This Waterdrop replacement water filter is designed for use with Sage coffee machines including Barista Touch and other compatible models. It softens water and reduces chlorine and certain heavy metals, helping to protect your machine and improve coffee flavour. The filter is TÜV SÜD certified for chlorine reduction and made from lead free, BPA free food grade materials, which supports safer everyday use.

## Tech specs

- Name: Waterdrop Water Filter
- Type: Replacement filter
- Capacity: 100L recommended change interval
- Material: Activated carbon block and resin, food grade, lead free, BPA free
- Compatibility: SES810, SES875, SES878, SES880, SES920, SES980, SES990

## Why it’s worth it

The filter uses a selected activated carbon block and resin to reduce impurities, calcium and magnesium ions according to the manufacturer. That reduction helps inhibit scale build up, which can extend the working life of the machine and lower maintenance needs. It also reduces lead, copper and other heavy metals as reported by the supplier, which can make brewed coffee taste cleaner.

## How to use it

Fit the replacement exactly as the original filter is installed, ensuring a secure seal to avoid leaks. The manufacturer recommends changing the filter every three months or after roughly 100 litres, and many machines provide a reminder to track filter life. It’s a practical routine upgrade for households that brew regularly and want steadier machine performance.

## What to know

The pack contains two filters and the design matches Sage inlet fittings to ensure correct placement without affecting warranty where fitted correctly. Note that performance claims are based on TÜV SÜD testing for chlorine reduction and third party lab testing for some contaminants, so expectations should align with those verified reductions. The filter is targeted at users who prefer softer water and clearer tasting coffee while reducing limescale formation.
