## Description

This compact VTech video baby monitor brings a long-lasting battery and straightforward features to keep an eye on your child across the home. The clear, portable parent unit with a 2.8 inch screen and simple controls makes daily monitoring easy whether during daytime naps or overnight checks.

## Key Points

The monitor offers up to 19 hours of continuous video streaming according to the manufacturer, which helps reduce the need for frequent recharging. Its parent unit includes a **2.8" LCD screen** for live viewing and an auto-on screen option that activates when sound is detected. Infrared night vision provides a usable image in low light and the camera supports 2x zoom and an adjustable viewing angle so you can change the framing without moving the unit.

A built-in temperature sensor displays room conditions on the parent screen, helping you notice when the nursery feels cooler or warmer than preferred. Sound and motion indicators are available, and the unit includes two lullabies and two ambient sounds to soothe a baby from the parent unit. The system uses secured digital transmission to limit interference and protect privacy.

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **VTech VM3250**
- Screen: **2.8" LCD**
- Battery life: **Up to 19 hours video streaming**, up to 29 hours audio-only mode (manufacturer information)
- Range: 300 metres maximum line of sight
- Night vision: Infrared automatic activation
- Additional features: Temperature sensor, 2x zoom, 2 calming melodies and 2 ambient sounds

## Usage Recommendations

Place the camera at a safe distance from the cot and out of reach of little hands while angling it to include the cot and surrounding space. Keep the parent unit charged overnight if you plan to use continuous video mode for several hours. If you prefer lower power consumption, switching to audio mode extends battery life significantly and still provides sound alerts.

Consider that the quoted 300 metre range refers to unobstructed line-of-sight conditions, and actual range may be reduced indoors by walls or electronic interference. Also note that while the infrared night vision is effective for low-light monitoring, fine image detail naturally decreases in darkness compared with daytime viewing 🙂. For households where multiple walls or floors separate the camera and parent unit, expect performance to vary and position devices accordingly 🚼.
