## Description

## Worth noting

Some rooms need a simple way to reduce heat escaping through the wall behind a radiator, other projects call for flexible insulation that can be shaped to fit. This reflective foil is designed for both. Its laminated aluminium surface reflects 98% of heat back into the room, while the lightweight bubble core provides insulation. Supplied as a 5m x 60cm roll, it can be cut to suit your space.

Placed behind a radiator, the foil helps reduce heat lost through the wall and directs warmth back towards the room. That makes it a practical addition to a heating setup where you want more of the radiator’s heat to remain in the living space. The surface has a coating to help prevent oxidation, and the material is reusable, so it can also suit projects where you may want to reposition or reuse the insulation.

## Fit and sizing

The roll measures 5m x 60cm, giving you a continuous length to cut for the area behind a radiator or another suitable insulation project. Trim it to the shape and size you need rather than relying on a pre-cut panel. This is useful when working around different radiator widths or adapting the material for a less regular space.

The foil is described as suitable for radiators of all sizes, and its discreet profile helps keep it out of sight behind the radiator. For a neat fit, measure the area you intend to cover and cut the foil accordingly. It is also listed for use in lofts, walls, floors, sheds, concrete roofs, greenhouses, car roofs and metal buildings, making the roll relevant beyond radiator backs.

## How to use it

For radiator use, cut a piece to fit the space behind the radiator and position it so the reflective surface can return heat towards the room. The flexible roll is straightforward to shape, which helps when fitting around the available space rather than handling a rigid panel. The product description presents installation as simple and requiring no tools.

It can also be cut for other insulation tasks around the home or in outbuildings. The foil is described as waterproof and moisture-proof, and as helping to block outside sound. These features make it suitable for a range of areas where a flexible insulation layer is useful, the radiator application remains its clearest role if your priority is limiting heat loss through the wall behind a heater.

## Before you decide

**What is the radiator foil made from?** It uses laminated aluminium foil with a coating to prevent oxidation, combined with a lightweight bubble core. This construction brings a reflective surface together with an insulating layer.

**Can I cut it to fit my radiator?** Yes. The roll is designed to be cut to the shape and size required, so you can tailor a section to the space behind your radiator. Its stated roll dimensions are 5m x 60cm.

**Can it be used for projects beyond radiators?** Yes. Other listed applications include lofts, walls, floors, sheds, concrete roofs, greenhouses, car roofs and metal buildings. The flexible format can be cut to suit those different areas.

## Should you buy it?

Choose this roll if you want a cut-to-fit reflective layer for the wall behind a radiator, with enough length for more than one area or for a broader insulation project. Its 5m x 60cm format, lightweight bubble core and reflective aluminium surface make it a practical option when you want to direct more radiator heat back into the room while retaining flexibility for other uses.
