## Description

## Key features

The Vicks VH845 warm mist humidifier helps ease breathing and supports a more comfortable night's sleep by releasing warm, soothing vapour into the room. With a 3.8 litre tank it runs for up to 24 hours according to the manufacturer, so you can set it before bed and avoid frequent refills. The unit is suitable for bedrooms and spaces up to 37m2, and it includes two menthol VapoPads for a mild aromatic effect.

## Technical details

- Name: Vicks VH845
- Capacity: 3.8 litre
- Type: Warm mist humidifier
- Coverage: Rooms up to 37m2
- Other: VapoPad compatible

## Why it’s worth it

The VH845 focuses on simple, reliable performance rather than gimmicks. Two intensity settings let you choose a gentler or stronger mist, and the automatic shut off gives peace of mind when the tank empties. The claim of up to 99% bacteria-free mist is intended to reassure users seeking hygienic humidification, though bear in mind that routine cleaning remains important to maintain that condition.

## Getting the most from it

It’s a good fit if you want overnight relief from dry air, coughs or congestion without constant maintenance. Fill with clean water and place on a flat surface away from electronics, and use the menthol pads sparingly to avoid overpowering the room. If you prioritise silent running, choose the lower setting for quieter operation.

## Care & maintenance

Regular cleaning prevents buildup and supports performance. Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning guidance and replace VapoPads as required. Occasional descaling may be necessary in hard-water areas to keep the unit working as expected.
