## Description

This plastic carpet protector from Uross helps shield rugs at doorways from cat scratching and wear, offering an easy-to-cut solution for households with feline companions. It is useful for protecting high-traffic thresholds and keeping carpet edges intact while letting you trim the mat to the exact shape needed.

## Key Points

The protector measures 43.3 inches long by 14.9 inches wide and fits door widths from about 27.5 to 35.94 inches when used as supplied. It is made from durable, recyclable PVC with a thickness of 0.07 inches, which the manufacturer states is intended to resist clawing and prolong the life of carpet where pets tend to scratch. The textured surface helps reduce accidental slipping and the firmer backing helps the pad stay in place on most floor coverings. Note that the mat is delivered rolled for transport and will need to be flattened before use; the included guide explains how to do this.

## Technical Specifications

- **Name: Uross Carpet Protector for pets - Cat Carpet Protector**
- Material: PVC, recyclable
- Dimensions: 43.3 in x 14.9 in
- Fits door width: approximately 27.5 in to 35.94 in
- Thickness: 0.07 in
- Pack: 3 pieces

## Usage Recommendations

Cutting is straightforward, so you can trim the protector into single-side or double-wing shapes to suit narrow or wider doorframes. For best results, unroll the mat and let it lie flat for a few hours or weigh the edges down, as the product may retain a curl from packaging. Place the textured side up so pets encounter the grip layer rather than the backing.

## Positive Aspects

The product offers a practical and low-effort approach to reduce carpet damage from scratching, and the recyclable PVC gives an option that is easy to clean with a damp cloth. Because the design can be customised by cutting, it adapts to a variety of doorways and carpet layouts. Consider that very determined scratchers or very large claws may still cause wear over time, so monitor the protector and replace if the surface becomes compromised according to the manufacturer. 🐾 🧽
