## Description

This aluminium UGREEN M.2 NVMe enclosure turns an internal NVMe drive into a compact, bus‑powered external SSD, ideal for quick backups, media editing and expanding laptop storage. It supports M and B+M key NVMe drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 sizes up to 8TB and offers the speed and protocols needed for real‑world file work.

## Highlights

The enclosure uses a USB Type‑C port compliant with USB 3.1 Gen 2 to deliver up to 10Gbps theoretical throughput, and the manufacturer cites tested transfer speeds up to 1280MB/s when paired with a suitable NVMe SSD and host. It supports UASP and TRIM, which help maintain performance over time, and includes a high‑performance controller IC with S.M.A.R.T support so you can monitor drive health. Note that it does not support NGFF SATA M.2 drives.

## What to know

The tool‑free design makes installation quick, you do not need screws or drivers for common desktop and laptop systems. The aluminium body plus a thermal pad improves heat dissipation, which can help sustained transfers and may extend SSD lifespan. Keep in mind that peak speeds depend on the SSD and host device, and some older USB ports will cap performance.

## Getting the most from it

It’s a good fit if you need a portable, high‑speed enclosure for large files and media work. For casual backups or infrequent transfers you will still benefit from the plug‑and‑play convenience, but if you require hardware RAID or SATA support this unit will not provide that. **UGREEN M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure** arrives with a USB‑C to C cable a thermal pad and a user manual so you can set it up straight away. 😊 🔧
