## Description

## What it is
The TIMBER RIDGE Folding Camping Footrest is a compact, padded ottoman designed to elevate comfort during outdoor activities. It folds in one second for easy transport and comes with a carry bag, making it convenient for camping, fishing, hiking, BBQs, patio lounging or simply relaxing in the hotel room or office. On the move, weighing 1.8kg, it’s light enough to take along without fuss.

## How it’s built
This stool combines a sturdy alloy steel frame with a heavy-duty 600D fabric seat, which aims to offer durability and a degree of comfort across varied terrains. The design uses an X-structural frame for stability and has a large footpad to improve grip on uneven surfaces. The foldable nature, a folded size of 20×20×60 cm and an unfolded footprint of 48×48 cm with a height of 46 cm, is tailored for portability without sacrificing practicality.

## Weight capacity and safety notes
The footrest is designed to support up to 80 kg. It’s important to note that the product is not intended to be sat on as a chair, it’s a footrest intended to raise and support feet during use. This distinction matters for longevity and safety, especially on uneven ground. If you need a seating option, you’ll want a different product designed for sitting duties.

## Who it’s for
If you value lightweight, easy-to-pack outdoor gear that can double as a compact resting surface in a camping trip, fishing session, or BBQ day, this TIMBER RIDGE footrest could fit. It suits hikers, campers, and weekend outdoors enthusiasts who prioritise quick setup and portability over having a full-size chair at hand.

## What stands out in use
The combination of a padded top and the durable 600D fabric provides a reasonable level of comfort for feet and legs after a long day. The carry bag with a shoulder strap adds real-world convenience when you’re moving between car, tent, and picnic spot. In practice, you’ll notice that it’s easy to sling over a shoulder or slide into a small corner of a backpack or trunk.

## Considerations and limitations
On rough ground or steep terrain, the footpad’s grip becomes a more critical factor, a larger, more textured pad helps here, and this model uses a sizeable base to mitigate some instability. The 80 kg limit means heavier users may need a sturdier option. If you expect to rely on it as a primary seating solution or for activities requiring higher weight tolerance, you may want to review alternative options.

## Before you buy: what to check
- Confirm you’re using it as a footrest, not a seat.
- Check ground conditions, a stable, level surface will improve performance.
- Consider storage and transport needs, the included bag and compact fold make it easy to carry, but plan space in your bag or vehicle.
- If you require a longer-lasting heavy-duty option, evaluate how the 600D fabric and alloy frame meet your usual outdoor use in your climate and activity.

## Practical scenario and comparison
Imagine you’re setting up a riverside camp after a long hike. You want a quick, small resting spot for tired feet and a place to perch a mug or small gear while you sort through equipment. This footrest provides a simple, unobtrusive solution that slots into a modest travel kit. If you foresee higher usage, or you need to accommodate multiple people with seating, you’d likely look at larger chairs with higher weight ratings and broader seating areas instead.

## Decision point: Is it worth it?
It makes sense if you prioritise portability, quick setup and a lightweight resting support for feet during outdoor activities. It may not be the best fit if you need a robust seat for heavier users or frequent, long-duration sitting. For the right use-cases, it offers practical value in a compact form.

## FAQ
- Can you sit on it? It’s designed as a footrest, not a chair, and the maximum weight is 80 kg.
- How portable is it? Folded dimensions are 20×20×60 cm with a carry bag, and the weight is around 1.8 kg.
- What material is it made from? The frame is alloy steel with a 600D fabric top for durability and comfort.
