## Description

This pack combines two compact Bluetooth item trackers from Tile for keeping essentials like keys and wallets within reach at home or on the move. The Starter Pack includes one Mate and one Slim, offering a mix of a thicker tag for bags and a slender card for wallets, helping you locate items quickly with the Life360 app and a built‑in phone finder for occasional misplacements.

## Key Points

The Tile Starter Pack mixes two form factors so you can pair them to different needs. The Mate is suited to keys and backpacks while the Slim slides into wallets or passport holders. Both work with iOS and Android via the Life360 app, which lets you ring a Tile, view its last known location on a map and, according to the manufacturer, trigger a discreet SOS alert that notifies selected family members. The mobile phone finder function lets a Tile make a misplaced phone ring even when it is on silent. Consider that the app requires location services enabled to show precise positions.

## Technical Specifications

- **Name: Tile by Life360 Starter Pack (Mate + Slim)**
- Bluetooth range: 350 ft / 105 m
- Battery life: up to 3 years (according to the manufacturer)
- Water resistance: IP68 rating
- Compatibility: iOS and Android via Life360 app
- Pack contents: 1 Mate tracker, 1 Slim tracker

## Advantages

Both trackers are lightweight and unobtrusive, and they bring simple functionality without a steep learning curve. The Slim’s card profile is particularly useful for wallets and thin compartments, while the Mate’s button and louder ring make it practical for everyday carry items. Integration with Life360 adds family‑focused features, enabling group location sharing and safety alerts within one platform. For users who already use Life360 for family location, adding these Tiles can centralise tracking in a single app.

## Usage Recommendations

Attach the Mate to keyrings or bag loops where its ring can be heard easily. Slip the Slim into a wallet slot or a thin compartment for discreet tracking. Use the app to name each Tile and check battery status periodically, bearing in mind that battery life is listed as up to three years. If you rely on the SOS feature, test it once so nominated contacts know what to expect. Note that location accuracy and some features depend on the phone’s location services being active and permissions granted.

The pack is black in colour and blends into daily carry items while offering a practical way to reduce time spent searching for misplaced belongings. There is a trade‑off to consider, as Bluetooth tracking relies on proximity to a paired phone or other devices in the Life360 network for the most accurate location updates.
