## Description

These air-activated foot warmers deliver gentle heat for hours, making winter walks and outdoor sports more comfortable. They are ultra-thin insoles from TerraTherm that warm up on contact with air and provide steady warmth for up to eight hours, according to the manufacturer.

## Key Points

These insoles heat by a simple chemical reaction once exposed to oxygen, so no batteries or external power are required. The thin profile sits discreetly inside boots or shoes and adds minimal bulk, maintaining fit and comfort for everyday footwear and sports boots. For people who spend time outside in cold weather, they offer a straightforward way to keep toes warm without extra gadgets or charging. 😊

The pads are made from naturally occurring components listed by the producer as iron powder, water, salt, activated carbon and vermiculite. This composition produces warmth without the need to boil or heat anything beforehand. Consider that the temperature is described as an average of 39°C, and actual heat may vary with ambient conditions and footwear insulation. ❄️

## Benefits

Using disposable heated insoles reduces the need for thicker socks or oversized footwear that can compromise fit. They are particularly useful for short to medium outdoor sessions such as spectating at open-air events, walking to work on frosty mornings, or layering in ski boots for added comfort. The discreet design also suits dress shoes where bulkier options would be impractical.

Because they are single-use and air activated, the insoles are convenient for travel and unpredictable weather. They remain shelf-stable when unopened for several years, which can be handy for keeping a supply in a glovebox or backpack. However, they are not reusable, so ongoing use will require replacements depending on frequency of outdoor activities.

## Technical Specifications

## Usage Recommendations

Open the individual package and allow a few minutes for the insole to begin warming as it contacts the air. Place the smooth side down inside the shoe so the textured side faces the foot, and adjust position for comfort. They are intended for single use, so dispose responsibly after the warming period ends.

For best results wear them with footwear that offers some insulation rather than extremely thin shoes, because the surrounding material helps retain heat. Keep in mind that very damp conditions may reduce performance, and these insoles produce heat through oxidation, which is a natural process rather than powered heating, according to the manufacturer.
