Switory 100pc Black Kraft Gift Bags (Twisted Handles) – 5.25x3.75x8 Inch
Product description
If you’re planning party favours, a retail-style gift pack, or even some quick takeout bags, these Switory black kraft gift bags are the kind of everyday item that tends to disappear from stock fast. The appeal here is pretty straightforward: a pack size of 100, a sturdy paper build, and twisted handles that make them feel more “put together” than flimsy bags.
That said, paper bags have their limits. They’re not waterproof and they don’t have a plastic lining/“pe film” coating, so they’re best for dry goods and everyday carrying rather than anything messy or heavy-wet.
The essentials
These are black kraft paper gift bags with twisted handles, sold as a bundle of 100. On paper, the dimensions are 5.25x3.75x8 inch, which puts them in the “small to medium favour” zone—useful when you want something presentable without committing to bigger gift bags. The square bottom is designed to help the bag stand up easily, so you’re not constantly re-tucking it while filling or displaying it.
A lot of people end up buying bags like this when they’re trying to keep things tidy for events: Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, Christian festivals, parties, or just general gift and merchandise packaging. They also make sense for takeaway or food service use in a more traditional, dry-item way, rather than for saucy meals.
Worth noting: kraft paper is popular because it looks classier than plain plastic bags, but it’s still paper—so you’ll want to think about what you’re loading into them.
What stands out in day-to-day use
The handles and the base are the main day-to-day story. Twisted handles add a more upscale feel, and the reinforced bottom is meant to give extra support so the contents don’t feel like they’ll tip over or poke through as easily as with thinner options.
From a practicality point of view, these bags are also described as easy to load, which sounds minor until you’re packing 100 of anything. The square bottom helps when you’re filling in batches: bag upright, fill, fold/secure as needed, repeat.
There’s also a clear “multi-use” angle: gift bags, party favour bags, retail shopping bags, merchandise bags, wedding gift bags, and DIY projects. If you like keeping packaging consistent across different tasks (events, small business stock, or community giveaways), a single bag style can be genuinely handy.

Where it shines (and where it may fall short)
It’s a solid pick if you want dry, presentable packaging for small items—things like party favours, small gifts, retail samples, or merchandise that doesn’t involve liquid. It’s also more convenient than “DIY bag options” if you’d rather spend your time choosing contents than making packaging.
However, you may want to skip these if you need waterproof or leak-resistant bags. They’re explicitly described as not waterproof and not having a pe film coating, so if your contents might be oily, wet, or likely to weep (for example, saucy food or damp bakery items), paper like this can be a gamble. And if you’re regularly carrying very heavy loads, it’s worth tempering expectations: they’re described as holding up to several lbs each, but “several” is vague enough that careful packing still matters.
Who it’s for (and who should look elsewhere)
These bags suit people who need volume and consistency. Think event organisers, anyone prepping Christian festival or Christmas Day gifting, small retailers stocking counter-friendly packaging, and households doing batch gifting. They’re also a decent fit for simple food service / take-out applications where the food is dry and portioned.
You might not love them if you need premium structure for bulky items, or if you’re packaging anything that needs a barrier against moisture. In that case, you’ll probably find that a different material approach is simply safer.
Is it worth it?
Buying makes sense if you’re after a straightforward set of 100 black kraft gift bags with handles—something you can fill quickly, stand up neatly during prep, and use for party favours, retail-style merchandise, or dry takeout. The reinforced bottom and twisted handles are the practical touches that help them feel more reliable than cheap paper bags.
It might not be the best match if waterproofing matters to you, or if you’re planning to carry wet/oily foods. Since they’re not waterproof and don’t have a plastic lining, you’ll want to choose contents accordingly rather than assuming the bag will protect through mess.
FAQ
Are these bags suitable for party favours?
Yes. They’re designed to work as party favour bags and gift bags, with a size that fits smaller presents and gifts.
Can they be used for takeout or food service?
They’re stated as usable for food service and take-out, but bear in mind they are not waterproof and have no pe film coating—so they suit drier items more than saucy or leaking foods.
Do they stand up when filled?
They have a square bottom designed to help them stand up easily, which should make filling and display less fiddly.
What’s the main limitation?
Moisture resistance. These kraft paper bags aren’t waterproof, so think dry goods first.
How many bags do you get?
The pack includes 100 bags.
