## Description

The Rival 3 Wireless Gen 2 blends low latency gaming with everyday flexibility, switching cleanly between 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connections for PC and mobile use. It targets players who need a lightweight, durable mouse with precise tracking and long battery life.

## Key points

This mouse delivers responsive performance with manufacturer‑stated 1.9ms click latency on 2.4GHz, and up to 200 hours of battery life on 2.4GHz according to the maker. The TrueMove Air 18K optical sensor offers **18,000 DPI** for fine control, while a one‑AAA design trims weight by about 11g. Expect crisp clicks thanks to switches rated to **60 million** actuations and smooth movement from **100% PTFE feet**. Note that battery life varies with usage and connection type.

## Technical details

- Name: SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless Gen 2

- Durability: 60 Million Click Durability
- Connectivity: 2.4GHz and Bluetooth
- Feet: 100% PTFE

## Why it’s worth it

The Rival 3 Wireless Gen 2 keeps things straightforward, focusing on the essentials most gamers care about. Its combination of a high‑resolution sensor and low click latency helps with accurate aim and quick follow‑up shots, while durable switches mean the device should remain tactile after long use. The lightweight approach reduces fatigue during extended sessions.

## Getting the most from it

It’s a good fit if you prefer minimal setup and versatile connectivity, plug into the 2.4GHz dongle for competitive play and use Bluetooth for office or mobile work. For those who favour the lightest possible mouse, remember the single AAA battery reduces weight but adds the need for occasional replacement or spares. Consider trying both connection modes to balance responsiveness and battery life.
