## Description

## What this is
The Starink LC521 ink cartridges are a multi-pack replacement designed for Brother colour and monochrome printing. The set includes 1 x LC521 Black and 1 x LC521 Cyan, 1 x LC521 Magenta, 1 x LC521 Yellow, offering a complete refill solution for compatible Brother DCP models.

## What needs it solves
For households and small offices that rely on a straightforward colour printing workflow, this kit aims to provide an affordable alternative to OEM cartridges while maintaining consistent colour and text sharpness. The kit advertises a page yield of 500 pages per cartridge at 5% coverage on A4, which aligns with common expectations for standard office tasks like documents and basic colour graphics.

## How it performs on paper
Starink mentions a latest chip version intended to improve compatibility and recognition with Brother printers. In practice, this can help with smoother detection and reduced risk of cartridge errors, which is a common friction point with third-party supplies. The claim of stable printing and vibrant colour is typical for this category, though real-world results can vary based on print patterns and paper type.

## Best use cases
This set is suitable for users who print a mix of documents and light graphics on a regular basis and want a cost-conscious colour option for Brother DCP printers such as J1260W, J1310DW, J1313DW, J1360DW and J1460DW.

## Pros and cons
- Pros: Complete colour set in one package, designed for compatibility with several Brother models, aims for stable performance with a modern chip for recognition.
- Cons: Page yield figures are typical industry claims and depend heavily on coverage, third-party cartridges can vary in reliability and long-term consistency, the impact of print head wear or maintenance is not discussed.

## Who it’s for
If you prioritise value-for-money and you own a Brother printer model listed in the compatibility notes, this kit could be convenient for keeping colour printing alive without switching brands frequently.

## Who might want to reconsider
If you rely on high-volume colour printing, or if you require guaranteed OEM compliance and warranty protection, this third-party option may not meet those expectations. Also, if your primary concern is maximising yield per cartridge, results may differ from official supplies.

## What to check before buying
- Confirm your Brother model is among the listed compatibles.
- Consider whether you need a full colour set or individual cartridges.
- Be mindful that real-world page yield depends on print content and settings, 500 pages is a guideline.

## Practical note on alternatives
Compared with using OEM cartridges, third-party LC521 options like this kit are usually more affordable per page, but you may encounter variations in consistency or secondary factors (such as warranty implications). If you print mainly photos or heavy graphics, you might prefer a higher-end or brand-specific solution.

## FAQ (based on available data)
- What is included in the pack? 1 x Black, 1 x Cyan, 1 x Magenta, 1 x Yellow LC521 cartridges.
- Are these compatible with Brother DCP models? Yes, including J1260W, J1310DW, J1313DW, J1360DW and J1460DW.
- What is the stated yield? 500 pages per cartridge at 5% coverage on A4 papers.

## Is it worth it?
Worth considering if you want a full colour LC521 replacement set for compatible Brother printers and are comfortable with a third-party supply. It may not be the best choice if you require OEM guarantees or higher-volume yield for heavy workloads.
