## Description

This neck mount from SMALLRIG makes hands-free capture practical for action sports, vlogging and on-the-go filmmaking by offering quick magnetic switching between portrait and landscape angles. It sits around the neck with a soft silicone band and aims to reduce pressure during longer shoots, while keeping the camera accessible for one-click attachment.

## Key Points

The magnetic interface allows fast changes of camera orientation, enabling point-of-view shots without fiddly adjustments. 🎥 The one-click release button speeds up mounting and removal, which is handy when you need to start recording within seconds. The neckband has a total length of 600 mm (23.6 inches) and contours to the neck thanks to a streamlined silicone construction, offering a close fit that helps keep the camera steady during motion. The mount is lightweight at 192 g, so it is easier to wear for extended periods and causes less fatigue. A universal two-prong adapter is included to support a wide range of action cameras, making it practical for users who switch systems or carry several models. 🧭

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **SMALLRIG Magnetic Neck Mount**
- Weight: **192 g (6.8 oz)**
- Neckband length: **600 mm (23.6 in)**
- Materials: **Silicone, plastic and aluminium alloy**
- Compatibility: **GoPro Hero 12/11/10/9/8/7/6/5/4, DJI Osmo Action, Insta360 and most action cameras (adapter included)**

## Usage Recommendations

Position the silicone band so the camera sits at the desired chest or sternum height to obtain a natural POV frame and to avoid excessive head movement affecting the shot. For fast transitions between vertical and horizontal framing, rely on the magnetic interface while keeping a hand close to guide the camera during turbulent motion. For extended outdoor use consider pairing the mount with a snug clothing layer to reduce slippage in wet conditions, according to the manufacturer. Note that the magnetic connection is meant for standard action camera housings with the two-prong interface and may not work with unconventional or heavily modified mounts.
