## Description

The SMALLRIG cage for Sony FX30 and FX3 brings a modular, protective frame that helps steady rigged shooting and safeguard camera connections. It pairs a U-shaped main cage with a detachable NATO rail so you can reattach the original XLR top handle when needed, while an included HDMI cable clamp keeps the signal secure during active shoots.

## Key features

This cage focuses on practical support and integration. The bright black finish is discreet yet fresh, and built-in rubber pads protect camera paint. The battery compartment hinge arm follows the camera curve to improve grip for the little finger. Expect multiple mounting points that work with industry accessories, plus a magnetic wrench for quick assembly and disassembly.

## Specifications

- Name: SMALLRIG Cage for Sony FX30 FX3 with HDMI Cable Clamp
- Type: Camera cage
- Material: Bright black surface
- Colour: Classic bright black
- Compatibility: Sony FX30, Sony FX3
- Size: Modular with NATO rail and U-shaped module

## Benefits

The modular layout makes it straightforward to adapt the rig for handheld or gimbal setups. The HDMI clamp prevents accidental disconnection, which is handy when moving between rigs or when cables are under tension. The Arca-compatible quick release plate means you can switch between stabilisers such as DJI RS models without extra plates.

## Usage tips

It’s a good fit if you want a robust metal frame that adapts to different setups and preserves access to the camera controls. Do note that the NATO rail spacing is 27mm and will not fit 18mm-spaced accessories, and you must remove the NATO rail before reattaching the original XLR handle. For best results tighten the 1/4"-20 screws evenly to avoid twisting and use the included magnetic wrench for safe, fast changes.

## What’s included

The pack ships with an HDMI cable clamp, a NATO rail module, a U-shaped cage module, a magnetic wrench and an Arca-compatible quick release plate with height increase pad. The design also includes built-in cold shoe and multiple 1/4"-20 mounting points so common microphones, lights and handles attach cleanly.
