## Description

This SmallRig universal LWS baseplate fits mainstream DSLR and mirrorless camera cages and adds a solid platform for accessory mounting. Designed to accept dual 15 mm rods, the plate supports lens holders, follow focus units and matte boxes for both handheld and tripod setups, while keeping kit compact and organised.

## Key features

The dual 15 mm rod clamp is the central advantage, letting you mount common cinema accessories quickly and reliably. Large integrated rubber pads protect your camera from scratches and reduce twisting during movement. Multiple threaded holes on the base work with quick release plates of various sizes so you can adapt the plate to different tripods and plates with ease.

## Specifications

- Name: SMALLRIG Universal LWS Baseplate with Dual 15mm Rod Clamp - 3357
- Type: Base plate
- Format: LWS compatible
- Capacity: dual 15 mm rods
- Size: optical height 85mm when used with BMPCC 6K Pro Cage 3270

## Usage tips

If you pair the plate with the BMPCC 6K Pro Cage 3270 you get an optical height of 85mm according to the manufacturer, which helps maintain alignment with many cinema accessories. Bear in mind that this height reference applies specifically with that cage, so check fit before committing to a full rig. For fast swaps on set, use the threaded holes to attach a compatible quick release plate and avoid repeatedly loosening the base.

## What’s included

The baseplate ships configured for dual 15 mm rod use and comes with integrated rubber pads to protect the camera body. It also allows removal and replacement of a Samsung T5 SSD without taking off the base plate when fitted in the compatible cage.

You’ll find this SmallRig plate practical if you need a compact, rod‑ready base that keeps accessories aligned and protects your camera during regular use.
