## Description

Some craft toys are about making something to keep, this kit turns the making itself into the activity. Slime Mart Small Basket brings burger-inspired pretend cooking together with soft slime that can be shaped, layered and decorated, then squished and stretched. Its detailed food-style look adds a playful serving-and-s creating element to hands-on sensory play.

Designed for children aged 6–10 and kidults, it gives creative sessions a clear theme while leaving room to customise each creation. The slime is not edible, so the burger theme is for imaginative play rather than eating.

## Practical tips

Start by shaping the slime into a burger-style creation, then layer and decorate it to build a look of your own. The ingredients can also be mixed and rearranged, making it easy to try a different combination each time rather than following one fixed result. When the creation is ready, squish and stretch it for a tactile change of pace.

The small basket format suits a themed play session at home, whether the focus is pretend cooking, experimenting with shapes or enjoying the feel of the slime. Keep the activity centred on play: the compound is non-edible, despite its realistic food-inspired appearance.

## What you’ll notice day to day

The appeal is the shift between making and sensory play. First, the slime can be arranged into a pretend meal, afterwards, its soft, squishy texture invites hands-on stretching and reshaping. That combination gives children more than a single display-style craft: the creation can be changed as the play develops.

For a rainy afternoon or a short creative break, the burger theme offers an easy starting point for imaginative kitchen play. The realistic-looking detail supports the pretend-food idea, while the ability to mix and decorate encourages personal variations. It suits you if you want a tactile craft activity with a playful theme, rather than a project built around producing one permanent finished item.

## Practical questions

**Can children eat the slime?** No. It is non-edible slime, and the food-like burger appearance is for pretend play only.

**What can you do with the slime?** Shape it into kitchen-inspired creations, layer and decorate it, then squish and stretch it. The ingredients can also be mixed to create different combinations.

**Can it be combined with another Slime Mart kit?** Slime Mart offers two realistic-looking DIY slime kits, and their ingredients can be mixed and matched to customise creations.

## Buying verdict

Slime Mart Small Basket is a themed choice for children aged 6–10 and kidults who enjoy both imaginative craft and hands-on sensory play. Its burger-inspired presentation gives each session a playful starting point, while shaping, decorating, mixing and squishing keep the activity open to fresh creations. Choose it for make-believe kitchen fun with a soft slime finish—and remember that the realistic-looking compound is not for eating.
