Product description
The SIGTUNA bike lock is a heavy duty U‑lock built to secure a range of cycles from road bikes to e‑bikes. It pairs a 16mm hardened steel shackle with a double bolt system to resist cutting and leverage attacks, giving practical protection for everyday use. The first paragraph aims at riders who need reliable security without fuss, and mentions the long‑term benefit of robust deterrence.
Key features
This lock combines a 16mm high‑performance steel U‑shackle and a PVC coating to protect frame paint while maintaining strength. A disc‑style cylinder and double deadbolt mechanism add pick resistance and stability when locked. The set includes a 1.2 metre cable to secure the frame to fixed objects and reduce the risk of lifting or pulling thefts. Three keys come with the lock so you have a spare at home and one to carry with you. A mount holder and Velcro strap are supplied for convenient storage on rides.

What you’ll notice day to day
Using the lock is straightforward, it opens and closes smoothly and the mount makes transport simple. There is a minor caveat to consider, according to the manufacturer the design prioritises resistance to leverage and cutting, so for very high‑risk locations additional anchoring or alarmed security could be worth adding. You’ll appreciate the practical extras such as the spare keys and protective coating for regular commuting.
Getting the most from it
It’s a good fit if you cycle in urban environments and want a robust, easy to use lock that balances security and convenience. Clean the locking mechanism occasionally and keep a spare key stored safely to avoid being stranded. The included cable extends anchoring options, so use it to loop the frame as well as the wheel when possible.
