## Description

This pair of leather work gloves offers thorn-resistant protection and a comfortable fit for gardening and light construction tasks, combining a reinforced palm with a breathable back to help keep hands safe and cool. They are useful as thorn proof garden gloves when you need grip and durability during potting, pruning and general outdoor work.

## Key Points

The gloves feature a well-constructed palm and upper hand panels that add protection and extend service life. The elasticated wrist keeps insects and debris out while maintaining a secure fit, and the soft-touch grips improve comfort during prolonged use. 🧤

Fit is relaxed rather than tight, giving freedom of movement while reducing pressure points. The interior lining is described as very soft, which helps to prevent blisters during long shifts in the garden or on site. These gloves are thick enough to resist brambles and thorns but still allow a good sense of touch for handling pots and tools. 🌿

Note that, according to the manufacturer, they should not be used to remove nettles or to tackle the toughest, most abrasive tasks. They perform best for planting, general pruning and handling rough materials rather than heavy duty cutting or chemical handling.

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **SAWANS Leather Working Gloves**
- Material of palm: split cowhide leather
- Back material: **breathable spandex back**
- Wrist closure: elasticated wrist
- Lining: soft interior for blister prevention
- Intended uses: gardening, light construction, general manual work

## Usage Recommendations

Use these gloves when potting plants, pruning shrubs or moving medium-weight materials around the garden. They provide a combination of protection and dexterity that works well for repetitive tasks and seasonal maintenance. For tasks involving very sharp edges or chemical exposure, consider specialist gloves with specific cut or chemical resistance instead. 🛠️

## Positive Aspects

The split cowhide palm offers durable grip and abrasion resistance while keeping the gloves flexible enough for fine handling. The breathable back helps reduce sweating during warmer weather and the soft lining adds comfort on long jobs. The elasticated wrist reduces the chance of dirt and insects getting inside the glove and helps maintain a consistent fit during varied activity.

Acknowledging limitations brings clarity. These gloves are not rated as cut resistant to specific standards and may not replace specialised protective gloves for high risk operations. They do, however, combine natural leather durability with stretch fabric comfort for everyday garden and light building tasks.
