SA Products 5 Litre Pump Action Pressure Sprayer with Adjustable Nozzle

The adjustable nozzle lets you switch between a spray and a mist, so the same sprayer can handle different garden tasks. Its 5-litre capacity suits treating plants or applying soluble products across a garden. A shoulder strap, hose and lance help you reach less accessible areas. It is intended for water-based or soluble, non-viscous products, rather than thicker mixtures.

Usage tips

The bottle has litre and fluid-ounce markings to help when filling or mixing products. Use these to measure the contents, then adjust the nozzle to suit the area: a spray for broader coverage or a mist for a finer application. The trigger can be locked, and a water flow regulator gives you another way to control output while working.

The 1.3 metre hose and 560mm lance are useful when spraying plants or other areas that are awkward to reach directly. In practice, you can carry the bottle on its shoulder strap and direct the lance towards the target, rather than having to hold the container close to every plant. The pressure release valve is also a practical feature when you need to release pressure from the sprayer.

Pros

The main appeal is the combination of an adjustable nozzle and a separate lance: it offers more flexibility than a basic hand-held spray bottle, particularly for reaching into planting areas. The lockable trigger and flow regulator add control, while the shoulder strap helps when moving around with the filled sprayer. You’ll like it if you want one pump sprayer for watering and for applying suitable garden treatments, rather than separate bottles for each task.

There is a clear limit to what it is designed to handle: the product information specifies water and non-viscous, water-based or soluble products. That covers listed uses such as pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and fertilisers, but does not support using it with thicker or non-water-based mixtures. If your main need is a compact bottle for occasional spot-misting, a simpler spray bottle may be more convenient to pick up and use.

When it makes sense

This sprayer is worth considering for routine garden jobs where you want to carry a larger amount of liquid and direct it through a lance, such as applying a suitable fertiliser or treating plants with a listed garden product. The markings can help with mixing, and the adjustable output makes it easier to choose between a broader spray and a finer mist. You may want to skip it if you need a sprayer for viscous or non-water-based products, as those uses are not stated as suitable. For straightforward watering in a small area, a basic bottle may be enough, this model makes more sense when its capacity, carrying strap and reach are useful.
