## Description

This compact 60% mechanical keyboard wireless solution brings essential keys into a smaller footprint while keeping multimedia and arrow controls handy, helping clear desk space and speed up workflows. The R65 offers tri-mode connectivity for flexible use and a tactile feel that suits both typing and gaming, with a notable focus on quiet, cushioned key action.

## Key Points

The keyboard is a 60% layout with 66 keys that preserves arrows and common media shortcuts, keeping footprints minimal without losing practical control. It includes a dedicated volume knob for quick audio adjustments and an RGB backlight with multiple effects to personalise the look. The build uses a five-layer internal stack and a **gasket-mounted** approach to improve sound dampening and impact absorption, which reduces clatter and gives a softer typing sensation. 🎹

Wireless options cover 2.4 GHz dongle, Bluetooth and wired USB-C, and the large 3750 mAh battery supports extended sessions according to the manufacturer, with up to 168 hours of autonomy with lighting off and around 32 hours with lights on. The keyboard supports hot-swap switches and ships with pre-lubricated creamy linear switches for a smooth, light keypress. 🔋

## Usage Recommendations

If you move between multiple devices, the keyboard's ability to pair with three devices and switch among them makes multitasking straightforward. The programmable firmware via QMK/VIA allows remapping and macro setup for custom layouts and shortcuts, which helps when you need specialised key functions for productivity or gaming. For quieter shared spaces, the gasket mounting and PBT caps cut down noise, though the keyboard may still be more audible than membrane alternatives.

Consider that the compact 60% form factor omits a numpad and dedicated function row, so users who rely heavily on numeric input might prefer a larger layout. Also bear in mind that advanced customisation via QMK or VIA requires some familiarisation, and initial setup could take a short time to get macros and layers adjusted to personal preference. 🎮
