## Description

## What it is and what it solves\nThe Cork Board 40cm x 60cm from REQUISITE NEEDS is a lightweight notice board with a natural wooden frame. It’s designed for home, office or classroom use, providing a simple way to pin reminders, notes and schedules without damaging surfaces. The cork is 15mm thick with a solid backboard, which helps prevent pins from poking through to the wall behind. It can be hung in either portrait or landscape orientation to suit your space.\n\n## How it’s built for practical use\nCrafted from high quality cork and finished with a natural wooden frame, the board combines a clean look with functional durability. The solid backboard provides a stable surface for pins, reducing wobble and helping keep papers in place. The package includes 4 push pins and 2 screw eye pins, giving you immediate use out of the box. The board is straightforward to mount or place in a busy office or study area, and its light weight makes repositioning simple.\n\n## What stands out\nOn the page, the board appears modern and stylish, with a sleek construction that fits contemporary spaces. The 40cm x 60cm size offers a sizeable display area without dominating a small desk or wall. The dual-orientation capability adds flexibility for whichever wall or corkboard setup you favour.\n\n## Pros and cons in real-world use\nPros: clear, uncluttered surface for notes, easy to mount, cork design supports multiple pins, includes starter pins, lightweight for repositioning. Cons: cork can wear over time with heavy use, it’s a mid-sized board, so it won’t cover very large wall needs.\n\n## Who it’s for\nThis board suits students, home offices, and small teams who want a simple, unobtrusive place for memos and reminders. It’s also appropriate for classrooms as a visible, easy-to-update notice point. If you prioritise a rugged, high-usage bulletin board, you may want to consider heavier-duty alternatives.\n\n## When it makes sense to buy\nIf you need a straightforward, low-profile notice board that’s easy to position and re-position, with a natural finish that won’t clash with wooden furniture, this model offers good value. It’s a practical choice for daily planning, schedules, or project notes.\n\n## What to check before buying\nEnsure the space you plan to use accommodates a 40x60 cm board and that you’re happy with cork’s pin-holding durability over time. If you expect heavy daily use or frequent re-pinning, inspect the backboard and frame for signs of strain after installation.\n\n## Alternatives and how this compares\nFor lighter day-to-day use, a cork board like this provides a simple, low-maintenance solution. If you need a larger display or a more premium framing, you might look at bigger boards or models with reinforced backings. If you prefer a non-cork surface, consider alternatives like magnetic boards, though they change pinning behaviour.\n\n## Decision: Is it worth it?\nIt makes sense if you want a modestly sized, easy-to-mount notice board with a natural aesthetic and practical cork surface for daily notes. Not the best pick if you need heavy-duty, high-frequency re-pinning or a larger display area.\n\n## Quick FAQ\n- Can it be hung in portrait and landscape? Yes, it supports both orientations.\n- What’s included? 4 push pins and 2 screw eye pins come in the pack.\n- Is it lightweight? Yes, its design prioritises ease of placement and movement.\n- Is the cork durable for school use? It’s suitable for light to moderate daily use, heavy-duty needs may require a sturdier option.
