## Description

## What it is
The RAVIAD 3-metre USB-C to Lightning cable comes as a 2-pack and is designed for iPhone users who want extra length without sacrificing charging speed or safety. It’s MFi certified and includes a smart chip to help ensure syncing and charging progress without nuisance warnings. On paper, it aims to combine durability, longer reach, and fast charging in a single cable.

## Why it matters
If you’ve ever wrestled with a short charger or a fraying sheath, a longer cord can be a real convenience for using your device while it’s charging, from bed to desk to a car with a charger that’s a little further away. The nylon braid adds a layer of protection against everyday wear and tear, helping reduce tangles and extending the life of the cable in busy households or shared workspaces.

## Performance and safety on paper
The cable supports PD fast charging and data syncing: up to 9V/3A for charging and up to 480Mbps for data transfer. This is intended to shave time off charging sessions and keep data flow smooth, which is useful for tasks like quick backups or moving photos. The emphasis on a built-in smart chip and MFi certification is supposed to reassure users that the device won’t trigger warning messages on iPhones and that charging should be safe for Apple devices when paired with a USB-C wall charger.

## Durability and design
Durability claims include a test standard of more than 10,000 bends, which speaks to long-term reliability in daily use. The nylon braided exterior helps resist fraying and makes the cable less prone to tangling, a common annoyance with longer cables. It’s worth noting that long cables can be stiffer and heavier, in practice, you may notice a bit more stiffness in a 3-metre cord compared with shorter varieties.

## Who it’s for
This cable suits anyone who needs more reach from their charger—perhaps you sit away from the wall socket, or you want a reliable cable for use in a garage, behind a sofa, or at a desk where plugs are a bit out of reach. It’s also handy for households with multiple iPhone users, thanks to the 2-pack option, reducing the need to share a single cable.

## Limitations and caveats
If you only ever charge from a wall charger with limited USB-C compatibility, you’ll still need a suitable wall charger to take advantage of PD fast charging. The faster speeds depend on the charger’s capability. The longer length can also slightly affect charging heat management in some setups, though the product claims safety protections are built in. It’s not a universal guarantee of performance, outcomes depend on the overall charging ecosystem and device tolerance.

## How to use it effectively
Pair the 3-metre USB-C to Lightning cable with a USB-C PD wall charger that supports 9V/3A charging. For best results, use it for charging and syncing tasks that benefit from extra length—like charging from a distant outlet while you’re using the phone on a table or bed. If you prioritise the neatest setup, consider keeping one cable at a desk and the other in a common area for shared devices.

## What to compare against (implicit alternatives)
If you’re weighing options, longer cables without MFi certification or nylon braiding may feel cheaper but risk reliability or safety warnings on iPhones. Shorter cables offer tidier lays but require proximity to a power source. In the right context, the RAVIAD option at 3m provides a balance between reach, durability, and official compatibility—useful when a cable’s length is a practical constraint rather than a luxury.

## Usage snapshot
Imagine you’re on a sofa with a wall charger tucked behind a cabinet. The 3m cord lets you comfortably reach your phone without dragging furniture or stretching the cable. You can watch a video or chat while it charges, without needing to stand up to adjust the setup.

## FAQs
- Is this cable compatible with all iPhone models? Yes, it lists broad compatibility with multiple iPhone models including recent Pro and standard variants, subject to a USB-C PD charger being used.
- Do I need a special charger for fast charging? Yes, to utilise PD fast charging you should pair with a USB-C PD wall charger capable of 9V/3A.
- Will the 3m length cause issues with data transfer speed? The spec states up to 480Mbps data transfer, in practical use, outcomes depend on devices and interfaces, but the intention is smooth syncing.
