## Description

## What it is
The QeeHeng Small Animal Hanging Hammock is a soft, double-layer sleeping and resting bed designed for small pets like hamsters, ferrets, mice, rabbits, and similar companions. Made from coral fleece and arctic fleece, it aims to provide a warm, cosy spot inside a cage where pets can sleep, hide, or play.

## How it works
The hammock attaches inside a cage using four detachable metal hooks and an elastic tie, making it straightforward to fix and reposition. Its 34 x 34 cm (13.5 x 13.5 inches) size is intended to fit a wide range of small animals while keeping installation simple and space-efficient.

## Materials, care and durability
The blend of coral fleece and arctic fleece is chosen for softness and comfort. The item weighs about 120 g, which helps keep it light for easy handling. It is machine-washable or hand-washable, though you should remove the four metal hooks before washing to avoid scratching the machine

## What stands out in use
The double-layer design offers more room for movement: pets can climb to the top floor via a hook, or retreat to the middle layer for resting. This creates a sense of enclosure and security that many small pets value.

## What may hold it back
The practicality hinges on the stability of the cage and the proximity of bars, if your cage wall is hard to access or very uneven, installation might be fiddlier than expected. Also, while the materials are soft, frequent washing could wear the fabric over time.

## Who it’s for
This hammock is suited to owners wanting an affordable, washable resting space that can fit multiple small pets within common cage sizes. If you prioritise a larger single-sleeping area or require heavy-duty fabric for frequent clipping or digging, this may feel limited.

## When it makes sense to buy
Consider this hammock if you want a simple, space-efficient way to add enrichment and a warm resting spot inside a small animal cage, and you value easy maintenance with machine-washable fabric.

## What to check before buying
- Confirm your cage dimensions comfortably accommodate a 34 cm square hammock.
- Ensure the cage can accommodate four anchor points or has suitable bars for hook attachment.
- Be prepared to remove metal hooks before washing and reattach afterwards for re-use.
- Consider whether your pet tends to chew fleece and if guard against wear fits your expectations.

## Practical use example
Imagine a cosy corner inside a rodent or small animal enclosure where a ferret or a sugar glider might curl up on the top layer after a busy playtime, with the middle layer serving as a quick hideaway when they want a nap. It’s a simple, quiet upgrade to daily care rather than a dramatic upgrade in habitat.

## What to compare it with (implicit alternatives)
If you’re weighing options, you’ll likely consider other small-animal sleeping options that emphasise larger beds or single-layer designs. This double-layer hammock provides more vertical play space and a sense of enclosure without taking up extra floor area, which can be helpful in multi-pet cages.

## Decision time
### Is it worth it?
Worth considering if you want an affordable, washable, lightweight hammock that adds extra play space and a secure resting area inside a standard small-animal cage. It may not be the best pick if you need a larger, more rugged option or if your pet tends to chew fabrics aggressively.

## FAQs
- Will this fit my hamster cage? It should fit typical small cages up to around 34 cm square, but check your cage’s interior measurements.
- How resistant is the fabric to washing? It’s designed to be machine-washable, but remove hooks to avoid damage to the washing machine.
- Can more than one pet use it at once? The design supports multiple layers for climbing and resting, but occupancy depends on your pet’s size and temperament.
