## Description

## What it is and what it’s for
A pack of 100 POJSIO outer sleeves designed for 12-inch records, including single, double, triple and quad gatefold LPs with a maximum spine depth of 10mm. Each sleeve measures 323mm x 327mm, offering a comfortable fit for single LPs and a snug fit for multi-LP gatefolds. These sleeves are made from premium acid-free polyethylene to protect your vinyl for years to come.

## Why it might be worth considering
On the face of it, these sleeves prioritise durability: 4 mils thick (around 100 μm) provides more protection against dust and scratches than standard lightweight sleeves. They’re UV resistant, which helps prevent artwork from fading with light exposure—handy if you’ve got shelf space near a sunny window or a bright living room.

## What stands out
The combination of thickness (4 mils) and UV resistance makes these sleeves a sensible option for those who want to minimise wear and preserve the original look of their records. The acid-free polyethylene material is gentle on the record jackets, reducing the risk of damage over time. It’s also practical that the pack covers a range of gatefold configurations, not just a single format.

## Practical use and ideal user
These sleeves suit collectors who keep their records in standard 12-inch jackets and occasionally store multiple LPs in one sleeve for bulk organisation. If you’re archiving a collection, the extra thickness can help prevent scuffs when handling the records. They may be especially appealing to casual listeners who want decent protection without paying for premium archival options.

## Limitations and caveats
It’s worth noting that the product is intended for 12-inch records with up to 10mm spine depth. If your collection includes unusually thick or fragile jackets, or if you prefer fully rigid outer protection, you might want to compare with alternative formats. The packaging specifies a 100-count sleeve pack, which is convenient but may not suit those needing a smaller or larger batch.

## What to check before buying
- Confirm your records’ sleeve depth to ensure a snug fit within the 10mm limit.
- Consider storage location to assess how important UV resistance is for your collection.
- Think about how you organise your records (single vs gatefold) to gauge the fit when removing and reinserting LPs.
- If you’re prioritising protection over price, evaluate whether 4 mils thickness aligns with your usual handling and transport practices.

## How this compares to common alternatives
If you’re weighing against thinner sleeves, these 4 mil outer covers should offer stronger protection against dust and scuffs, with the added benefit of UV resistance for artwork. For collectors who already keep jackets pristine, these sleeves provide a reliable, low-maintenance option that’s easy to adopt without special equipment. They aren’t designed to be a premium archival solution, but they strike a practical balance between durability and value for everyday use.

## Purchase decision
Is it worth it? Worth considering if you want a practical, durable outer sleeve that fits 12-inch records across common gatefold formats while adding UV protection to artworks. It makes sense for casual to mid-range collectors who want reliable protection without over-investing in specialist archival gear. You may want to avoid it if you need pockets for unusually thick jackets or if you’re seeking a premium, museum-grade solution.

## Quick notes on everyday use
A concrete scenario: you pull a 12-inch single from the shelf, slide it into one of these sleeves, and the jacket stays cleaner and less prone to surface scuffs during handling. The sleeves are flexible enough to slide on and off without excessive force, but the 4 mil thickness gives a reassuring sense of sturdiness during routine use.

## Quick FAQ
- Are these sleeves acid-free? Yes, they are described as acid-free polyethylene.
- Do they fit double or triple gatefold LPs? Yes, up to the specified max spine depth of 10mm.
- Is UV protection guaranteed for all colours and artwork? The product claims UV resistance, which should help reduce fading, though no specific warranty is noted.

## What’s included
100 outer sleeves designed for 12-inch records, suitable for a range of gatefold configurations.

## The essentials
Best for those seeking reliable outer protection with the practical benefit of UV resistance, without stepping up to premium archival products. If you prioritise a straightforward, durable option for everyday use, these sleeves are a sensible choice.
